It's a mass shooting. I don't think this event, despite how awful it is...should be political. Or at least the sexual identity of the shooter shouldn't be political.

But in the question you cited above, it appears to be completely voluntary. Missouri isn't going to chase that tax payer who resides in Kansas.

The political affiliation matters as much to you as the sexual orientation does to Boaz.

Professional athletes are special, I guess. Didn't know this was the case for them. I shocked we don't hear of players in trouble for this.

Mahomes.....let's say he makes a salary of $30,600,000 divided by 17 regular season games....$1.8 million per game. He lives in Missouri and the home games are in Missouri.

All the road games are out of state and subject to that states income tax. It's a wash and unnecessary unless you live in Florida or Texas and you attempt to avoid any state income taxes.

We even have people who do nothing for our company except provide safety and regulatory consulting services at the premises of our customer. We charge for those services. We have several of those folks who do 90% of their work out of state.

But they file 1 state return.

An agent of mine derives 75% of his income from insureds out of state and he spends 50% of his time there. It's not so crazy because he lives in Kansas City, KS but works heavily in Missouri.

I go and visit a prospect....I account for all of their assets, capture all the exposures, eventually return to meet with the CEO and board to review my proposal....and they say yes.

My company has an office in another state and I've used that officed to conduct business there with clients in that state.

When I go see the customers......am I or am I not performing work in that state?

I mean....I take my brilliance with me everywhere. It's not like I leave it at home when I travel to another state.
