Former President Donald Trump will soon host a gala at his golf club in New Jersey to "honor and celebrate" the defendants charged for their involvement in the Capitol riot.

Traitor Trash Trump... this oughta really get him those swing voters he needs, rofl.

Picking Vance to shore up the Base, and now this to do the same?

Someone is worried about their Base.

Either that or someone isn't worried about winning, because someone has other plans to get back into power; using force.

Which is basically a Death Wish for himself and anyone who's stupid enough take on the Constitutional Protectors against Insurrections, the US Military... who's Brass is ready to take him down a notch or three.

If Trump this, he is violating conditions of release.

Lock him up. It's what you'd do to any other criminal.

Force and simple cheating.

This is the ONLY reason Trump is holding himself together given events: He expects to pull a rabbit out of the hat through illegality and/or violence.

"Bennie Thompson says the government is ready for the transition of power in 2025

"We've fixed some things since Jan. 6, 2021," the former chair of the Jan. 6 select committee said."

""It has the potential to happen again," Thompson said Thursday.

"Some of the words that we're hearing from former President Trump as to whether or not he loses the election " the only way he will lose it is it was stolen.' We're beginning to hear that kind of verbiage coming from him and some of his surrogates."

He also said "there's no question" that opponents of the committee would consider targeting them with vengeful investigations or prosecutions if Trump returns to the White House.

"There are individuals who are in Congress right now who say that, given the chance, Liz Cheney and others of us who served on that committee would clearly be targeted," Thompson said, naming the former Wyoming Republican lawmaker who served as Thompson's vice chair."

... Dempsey, who is from Van Nuys, stomped on police officers' heads.

He swung poles at officers defending a tunnel, struck an officer in the head with a metal crutch and attacked police with pepper spray and broken pieces of furniture, prosecutors said.

He climbed atop other rioters, using them like "human scaffolding" to reach officers guarding a tunnel entrance. He injured at least two police officers, prosecutors said.

"Your conduct on January 6th was exceptionally egregious," U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth told Dempsey. "You did not get carried away in the moment." ...

Eye-opening information:

@emptywheel
Here's the website for the group running a tribute to the 20 Jan6ers (most convicted of assault) who created a music video with Trump.

The effort is led by Shane Jenkins, who was convicted by a jury on March 29, 2023.
www.standinthegap.foundation

Here's his verdict sheet. Civil disorder, obstruction, assaulting cops w/desk drawer and sticks, destruction of govt property, deadly weapon (a tomahawk), all guilty. (The obstruction conviction will be reviewed.)

This is Shane Jenkins' rap sheet BEFORE he assaulted cops at Trump's behest.
storage.courtlistener.com

Shane Jenkins won't be able to make the special event. He's in Terre Haute through 2027, unless Trump pardons him.

"I have murder in my heart," Shane Jenkins said on Jan7.

"It was the most amazing thing ever," Shane Jenkins said of assaulting the Capitol and cops.

This is whom the GOP candidate for President is celebrating: A serial criminal who brought a tomahawk to the Capitol and used a desk drawer to assault a cop.

And Jenkins is just ONE of the thugs whom Trump is celebrating here.

I wonder how prison is tasting these days for Shaneo?

#7 | Posted by a_monson at 2024-08-23 12:24 AM

I wonder if he's cleared this with his probation officer, felons on release are not supposed to associate with other felons. That's probably a violation of his release conditions.

I wouldn't put it past dotard to have a moment of silence for Tim McVeigh.

The "J6 Awards Gala" will take place Sept. 5 at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, NJ.

Is Putin's bitch going to mow Ivana's grave before he honors the ------------ cop killers?

Trump has given up on trying to get elected and is now counting on pulling off a successful coup. His future freedom depends on it. He will pull no punches this time. He's going to get a lot of his cult members killed.

The melon felon will skim 95% of the proceeds off the top and then a 4.9% management fee.

Grifters gotta grift.

Odds on Roody being sober?

Someone should probably check on him in his van parked under the bridge.

Will those who entered guilty pleas be granted pardons too? All of those who gave such pleas certainly help burst the bubble of those who claimed the day was just a bunch of tourists, or a situation incited by the FBI/CIA/DC cops/Hillary/Obama...

Gosh it would be a shame if there was large scale violence.

Donald Trump and the J6 Prison Choir???

Featuring Kid Rot?

This will get a big play on FOX ~ but not much else.

My guess is that Kamala Harris has taken the wind out of his sales and the only way he can a mention is to do something outrageous.

Very much like a sulking child would do just to get a spanking. Because some attention is better than no attention at all.

Yeah, that is the type of person that the current GOP appears to be catering to.

Wow.

Best of all:

More arrests based on folks coming forward expecting accolades.

MAGA Darwin!

One of us is quite wrong. Trump figures he has so corrupted the Republican Party that a display of arrogance over sedition will please them. Me, I think it will turn off more and more Republicans who will vote for Mickey Mouse before they will vote for a person who applauds overturning a free and fair election by force.
One hopes.

#23 | Posted by Hughmass at 2024-08-25 06:28 AM

Interesting that the Dems are rapidly energizing and expanding their base, while the GOPers are still trying to get their shrinking, bored base off its collective arse. They seem to sense the show has long since gone into reruns or reruns and won't be renewed for another season

Doncha get it yet?

Trump's J6 gala is a fundraiser by another name.

You don't seriously think Trump is going to allow any riffraff in to dirty up the place, do you?

There's no money to be made by that. My guess he's going to invite some old faithfuls, play a round of golf, have lunch and an open bar and lay on the guilt trip.

#25 | Posted by Twinpac at 2024-08-25 10:38 AM

What makes you think that they know what Trump's planning? I meet so many that are clueless. They just continue to naively believe that Trump represents them in their fear of losing their "culture" to all the "radical left marxist agenda" "the gays" and "illegals." They don't care about anything else or how the fix is done.
