Judea was the ancient name for Israel, the kingdom of the Jews. It was eventually a Roman puppet state and stayed that way through the Islamic conquest. Christians eventually conquered it, before it was recaptured by the Turks. They held on to it until the end of WWI, when it became a British mandate.

After WWII, the British began divesting its territorial holdings, attempting to create equitable states for the people who inhabited those territories. It sorta worked. Pakistan and Bangladesh were established for Muslims in Asia and India was established for the Hindu population. Jordan was established from what had been Transjordan. The intent had been to establish separate states for the Palestinians and the Jews, but the Palestinians and their Arab neighbors were having none of it, wanting instead the whole thing. Leading us to where we are today. The Palestinians still today want a region free of Jews.

In fact, there is no historical "Palestinian" people. The term "Palestinian" is largely thought to be a diminutive of the biblical term "Philistine," which referred to an ancient society in the levant that was descended from Greek immigrants.

There was never a kingdom of Palestine, or a Republic of Palestine, or an Emirate of Palestine. In fact, the first mention of "Palestinians" when referring to the Arab population was in 1898.

Yes, because Hamas very deliberately created tunnel networks and fighting positions in populated areas. They knew going in, the more dead Palestinians there were, the more leverage they would have.

And I know it's not really your gig, but building military tunnel networks and fighting positions in civilian areas is a war crime. Destroying them is not.

Hamas's actions are why North Gaza is in ruins. I doubt you'll even flirt with holding them accountable.

European jews had been immigrating to the Levant for 150 years at least, prior to WWII. By the end of WWII, European Jews were safe. Jews in Arab and Muslim nations, they were going to die.

Oh, and your initial question was impossibly stupid. A) Iran is not an Arab state. In fact Iran has been fighting against Arab separatists for decades. And B) Iran was a secular, western ally in 1948. Why would they care about joining a coalition of Arab states pursuing Arab goals? Iran never participated in any of the Arab wars against Israel.

The fact is, even today, Palestinians have no interest in a two-state solution. They are interested in "from the river to the sea."

Dude, again, Iran is not an Arab nation. And they attacked Israel directly (with missiles) and indirectly (Hamas, Hezbollah).

And again, Palestinians had their own nation. The Nakba occurred because they wanted more. You don't seem super smart on history, but an analogy would be like if Pakistan decided that Pakistan was not enough but instead felt themselves entitled to the entire state of India. And then got their asses kicked trying to take all of India. And then whined because they got their assed kicked by India. And then wound up with massive support across the globe because the nasty country of India kicked their ass then they attacked them.
