An indictment by a Grand Jury is a low bar to be cleared.

From what I understand, a Prosecutor presents information to the Grand Jury. There is no Defense representation.

The Grand Jury decides whether there is enough reason to go forward.

Much more to come out in terms of evidencea and defense, but this seems to be problem for Bolton.

HOWEVER, much like the mortgage fraud case and lying under case, you could bring charges like this against many different people on either side of the isle.

So yeah this seems like weaponization but Bolton could be in trouble in terms of being guilty.

I had the displeasure of riding the elevator with John Bolton once. It was the day of Trump's first speech before the UN General Assembly. Bolton was telling the men he was with that it was the most significant UN speech since WWII. That's when I first bothered to notice who would say something like that because up until then I was behaving like a sane person and ignoring my fellow elevator riders. He smirked at my raised eyebrow with an air of self importance and we got off the elevator, going our separate ways.

Bet you he feels betrayed today. Looking back, maybe he was right about the speech's significance.

Do you even understand what a grand jury is? Do you know who makes up a grand jury?

Grand jury members are citizens selected from a pool of applicants or nominees to serve on a jury that decides if there is enough evidence to formally accuse someone of a serious crime. They are randomly chosen to represent a cross-section of the community and must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, and a resident of the area. Unlike trial juries that determine guilt or innocence, grand juries determine if there is probable cause to issue an indictment, allowing a criminal case to proceed.

Being indicted by a grand jury does not prove you have committed crimes. It means there is probable cause to go to trial. Which is done in a court of law. With a jury of your peers.

Trumpy was indicted by grand juries 88 times.

How do you feel about the fact that he has never gone to trial on any of those charges? These were probably crimes committed by Trumpy according to those grand juries.

And the felony that he did go to trial on he was convicted of 34 felonies. In a court of law by a jury of his peers.

So now Trumpy is a Convicted Felon. You must be so proud!
