President Trump blasted Democratic politicians who declined to endorse his State of the Union message that the "first duty" of the US government is to protect American citizens over illegal migrants. "One of the great things about the State of the Union is how it gives Americans the chance to see clearly what their representatives really believe," Trump said during his Tuesday night remarks in the House chamber. "So tonight, I'm inviting every legislator to join with my administration in reaffirming a fundamental principle. If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support: The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens." Duly cued, Republicans led by Vice President JD Vance and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) rose to their feet while scores of Democrats remained firmly seated.
A time where such an interruption isn't a breach of etiquette any longer. It certainly was when Obama was interrupted.
Gee....I wonder how this will go next time a Democratic party president delivers a state of the union........

You think the Repubs were civilized except for that single incident? And now the Dems are to blame because they returned the favor?
GOP Reps. Greene, Boebert heckle Biden throughout State of the Union address
Lawmakers booed Boebert when she interrupted Biden as he was about to speak of his son's death.

Poor etiquette to Trump, the man who told security to rough up protesters at his speeches? Try not to sprain your hand clutching your pearls.
This is America's fundamental principle:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.

A government's primary responsibility is protecting its citizens from both domestic and foreign threats.
If it can't do that, it's pointless to try to claim "equal" creation. Or Democracy or have a declaration of independence, or even a constitution.
Maintaining Order & Security
The fundamental role of government in maintaining order and security is essential for a stable society. Governments create and enforce laws to ensure that citizens can live in peace and safety. Police work to prevent and respond to crime, while courts handle legal disputes and ensure justice is served. Additionally, governments maintain military forces to protect the country from external threats. By keeping the peace and protecting citizens' rights, the government helps create an environment where people can go about their daily lives without fear. This stability is important for the well-being and prosperity of any community.
