Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has been accused on social media of lying about eating "white guy tacos" after a recipe he provided in 2022 resurfaced, showing diced green chilies and a bottle of taco sauce on the ingredients list.

It's funny reading the critiques on one hand they are dragging him for his white guy tacos not being 100% bland since he uses mild chilis and medium taco sauce but then also dragging him for perpetuating the white people eat bland food stereotype.

So which is it folks is he not bland enough or is he too bland?

I kinda love that so far dude seems so wholesome that this is the level of criticism that MAGA have had to resort to.

Tony, you are absolutely right. A lot of Norwegian, Swede and German settlements in MN. Not the spiciest food on the planet. Besides tatertot hot dish, other popular cuisine are Brats with -----, and Lutefisk. Now Hmong is the up and coming food here, we're talking award winning chefs. A lot has changed in the 35 years since I moved here and the local Mexican restaurant served tomato sauce with chili powder as their salsa (I kid you not) which didn't work for this Southern California transplant.

More flavorful ethnic dining has gotten much more available in recent years, but this is a place where catsup has been declined for being too spicy, where "salad" was canned fruit cocktail in Jello and a "California Burger" had lettuce, tomato and onion. Not a hotbed of tacqueria culture.

When i visit the renowned area Thai restaurant ( www.bangkokdanbury.com, a couple towns north of me ), I ask for "Thai hot" when I order.

The waitress asks me, "are you sure" and I say yes.
