Donald Trump heightened his disparaging rhetoric about Vice President Kamala Harris at a rally on Saturday, claiming she was born "mentally impaired" and is "mentally disabled" in his speech.

imo, he is still trying to justify why he did so poorly in the debate.

The phrase, "grasping at straws" comes to mind.

Other phrases also come to mind, but I'll go with that one for now.

Donald Trump repeated his "mentally impaired" attack on Vice President Kamala Harris at a rally in Pennsylvania on Sunday, even after multiple Republicans rebuked the rhetoric.

The former president told a crowd of supporters, again, that Harris was "born mentally impaired" " the same line Trump used during a "dark" rally speech just one day earlier.

Though the crowd chucked at the ableist rhetoric, others have criticized Trump for invoking the insensitive remark. Former Governor Larry Hogan called it "insulting" and "something we can do without" on Sunday morning.

Senator Lindsey Graham and Representative Tom Emmer both urged the former president to focus on Harris's policies instead.

The Harris campaign taunted Trump for refusing to debate the vice president for a second time by airing an ad in the middle of the Alabama v. Georgia football game which Trump attended.

"If you've got something to say, say it to my face," Harris said in the ad."

Sounds like he was subliminally channeling Lady Gaga, since he can't legally use her songs.

He might offend some of the right wing pro-lifers, since he said she was born that way and not conceived that way.

Trump is PROJECTING.

He does it so often that, in his case, it's called a "tell" about himself.

If he wasn't born with that affliction, it arrived shortly thereafter.

I'm not sure he's "educated" enough to even be aware that he's telling on himself. It certainly doesn't seem so. It just isn't something that normal people do who are banging on all 8 cylinders.

However, it IS something tattletale children might do. We all probably knew one or two when we were growing up.

Kamala Harris hasn't "opened our borders" because as VP she doesn't have any constitutional authority to do or order ANYTHING! Saying that she's personally responsible for border security would equally say that Mike Pence was responsible for family separation during the Trump Administration - which he wasn't.

And more importantly, not a single law was changed in how ICE deals with criminal immigrants or quantifies their numbers and presence inside our borders. Nothing changed when Trump was President either as the numbers continued to grow during his term.

Gal posted a thread that everyone ignores because it destroys the right wing topic de jure - again, a misrepresentation of the Congressionally-passed and authorized bureaucratic process of record keeping. No one is being reckless, and the vast majority of criminals are in jail, not being held by ICE since that isn't their job to house prisoners.

Just more ignorant hyperventilation based on using racism and scapegoating instead of dealing with the real problems with comprehensive immigration reform that Trump ordered Republicans to nuke even though they wrote the bill themselves.

Yeah, many thanks for that. But, as much as I would like to, I cannot take full ownership.

I do have to admit, that I remember hearing something similar on a popular news/commentary channel (can I say Fox News here?). So I paraphrased what was said to get around the -------- that sometimes occur here.

Regardless, it is, imo, as you seem to agree, a great reflective view.

These sensational projectile vomit spews from the Roy Cohn playbook keep him atop the news cycle pushing out any positive Kamala news. Free media coverage for his base. He got 5 billion bucks worth of media exposure in his 2016 campaign doing the exact thing and sucking up most of the election coverage. The more time media covers these stunts the higher their ratings and the less work and journalists they need to expose his lies, incompetence and grift. It's a big easy ratings money maker to stir up --- and watch it swirl.

According to him, he didn't. In a Newsmax "poll" conducted on their TruthSocial account he won it 93-7.

Just like how he "won" 2020... it was stollen according to him.

He asked everyone in his spin room after the debate if he won and they all, with tears in their eyes, came up to him and told him "Sir...sir...that was a masterful debate. You crushed Kamalapolois. The congress should just declare you the winner tomorrow."
