Billionaire fat cat owner stops the Kamala endorsement to hurt her campaign. Editor quits. All eyes turn on the plutocracy propping up senile DonOld's candidacy.

So I was right to end my subscription to the LA Times.

It's a good time to quit working at newspapers apparently. They should all be looking for better jobs. Apparently newspapers with real reporters and trained journalists are going the way of the dodo. Even the digital ones are struggling. The L.A. Times is losing money, with some estimates putting the annual loss at $30"$50 million for this last year.

I wish them luck with their attempts to control the flow of information in an Internet connected world soon to be dominated by AI.

Radical politicization is about creating a failed society of either clueless schmucks or obedient to the party lemmings. Nothing good comes out of it. The entire newspaper (LA TIMES)likely only has one ideological viewpoint just as did Twitter and Facebook and Ivy League and other universities. It creates loss of freedom and unabashed hate in a society that will never ever be content to just discuss and debate.

Wow, billionaire nit wit hurts himself and generates more press for Harris than letting his paper endorse her. Just goes to show money does not mean brains.

"real newspapers need to present BOTH sides - the reality side and the delusional side!"

California in general and LA in particular is very liberal. The owner has lost contact with the core of LA Times readers.

This article is misleading.

The LA Times stated they're not endorsing either candidate.

The editorial board planned to endorse the better candidate as they always do. A billionaire blocked them because trump cuts taxes for the rich.

Article is accurate

LA Times staff should be on their knees thanking their owner for not seeing their newspaper and Democrat Party decimated by endorsing the single biggest incapable fool for President ever. Even Anderson Cooper and Katie Couric recognize it. The press made her and now the owners of the press recognize it as a collosal mistake for them and our country.

Kamala Harris has two faces and America doesnt like either one.

"planned to endorse the better candidate"

It's beyond time to start sending messages to the parties that we don't like the tripe they're rolling out.

If you were looking for evidence that all newspapers, ALL newspapers ... . are pressured by special interest on endorsements, and non-endorsements

Would the editor have been cool if the paper had endorsed Trump?

Stupid biased media editors like anything as long as it favors leftists and hating Americans that are not leftists.

However the owners of these Newspapers are realizing that such policy is neither good for America nor for their business. We are tired of the constant propaganda and lies from media. I've ended most all financial support from such outlets if long term bias. All business is better off neutral.

Remember when every newspaper and media outlet once offered their readers the ability to comment +/- on what they publish. But the editors hated that as it gave the public the same ability to do what they do for money every day. So many discontinued that ability. The truth is they wanted to keep conservatives censored as well as freedom of speech. This was probably another thing that the establishment deep state wanted muzzled. Hey Ive written many letters to editor over the years to large/small newspapers and it always pxxed me off when they would unilaterally edit my letter beyond my control and made it worse. They like thrive on control just like Joe Biden and Kamala.

Editor shouldn't have quit. They should have run the endorsement and dared billionaire bitty balls to bite. Editor may have been fired, and so what?
