The European countries are eyeing conscription.

They are facing the prospect of a war against a Russian-USA Axis. "Russia" is listed first because it dominates the USA.

Donald Trump will get us into a war. He's too drunk with power and bloodthirsty not to.

MAGA has had to all too good for too long. What whiners. What sick, lying, lazy people.

Their sons and daughters will pay for their sins.

Shocker, another Liberal dribble about the world is going to end if Trump continues to remove decades of fraud and waste from the US government. It is obvious why they scream the way they do, because it exposes their fleecing of the American taxpayer.

1st. Still waiting on this proof of all this fraud and waste you speak of. Fraud is crime. Where are the charges? Waste is another matter but oversight is the job of Congress. Not an unelected unaccountable Overlord.

2nd. The world is not ending.

Americas dominance and respect and influence in the world is ending apparently due to Trumpy's erratic, chaotic and wasteful decisions

If that is what you want. Keep on keeping on.

Sounds traitorous to me but you do you.

Just some friendly advice tho.. It never ends well for traitors.

How do you understand what Defund the Police does to the police, but you don't understand what Defund the United States does?
Of course, if you have the United States and want it to stop existing, that would explain why you want to Defund the United States.

I will believe there is fraud being found when I see the charges and the prosecutions. Fraud is a crime.

I do believe there is waste because there is waste everywhere in America but oversight is Congress's job. It's not the job of an unelected Nazi lovin car salesman.

I'm looking for confirmation that they understand Trump is unilaterally surrendering American leadership on the global stage.

I want them to explain to me why they don't want Jack Nicholson's character Colonel Jessep from A Few Good Men standing on that wall any more.

Especially as they tend to think Trump ought to take a Colonel Jessep approach to addressing life's challenges, like annexing Greenland and the Panama Canal.

More from the cited OpEd ...

... All these changes are gifts to Russia and China, whose goal has been to weaken America's power and presence in the world. As one Russia analyst recently said about Trump's Ukraine policy: It's like Christmas, Hanukkah, Easter and Vladimir Putin's birthday all on one day.

To those who think it's high time that we changed an international system that was so dependent on the United States -- have you weighed the costs and benefits?

The United States spent eight decades building an international system of rules, norms and values that has produced the longest period of great power peace and global prosperity in human history.

Its alliances are the greatest force multiplier for its influence around the world.

The United States has been the greatest beneficiary of this system, even now, decades later, still setting the agenda and dominating the world economically, technologically and militarily.

As that world unravels, America's privileged position will also decline, creating a more dangerous and impoverished world -- and a more isolated, mistrusted and insecure America. ...

Wow.

This is really the first time Fishpaw has come face to face with the concept of the postwar hegemony. The reason that NATO and the EU exists. The reason for the Petrodollar. The reason for ASEAN and Five Eyes. The reason United States Treasury Bonds are considered a stable investment. The underpinnings of Western financial power.

Well let me bring you up to speed:
At the end of WWII, the conquerors FDR, Churchill, and Stalin got together and divided up the spoils. That system stood for nearly a century, and the West was generally winning.

Trump is waking away from eighty years of progress and creating a power vacuum where the US once maintained a stabilizing influence.

Your job, Fishpaw, is to explain why you want the US to abandon our leadership role in the world.

We don't pay our fair share of 2%gdp ( like we demand others do) to make "friends". They are our friends naturally and historically. Until Trumpy offends them enough. We have agreed to defend each other. Until Trumpy reneges on that deal.

This is just a prelude to Trumpy's plan to try and disrupt and attempt to dismantle NATO. Or failing that withdraw.
