The first group of 49 white South Africans to be granted refugee status by President Donald Trump's administration are due to arrive shortly in the US.

Three decades ago, on April 27, 1994, after centuries of white rule, Black South Africans voted in general elections for the first time. This marked the official end of apartheid rule, cemented days later when Nelson Mandela was sworn in as the country's first Black president.

Maybe you should educate yourself before making assumptions. The Afrikaners, and Anglophones are fleeing from there because not safe for them nowadays.

-got a US sponsor to support each person, including children, while they look for jobs and housing?
-no one should expect these moochers to get Medicaid--right?
-everyone must speak English, with no accents allowed
-I hope every one of these beggars has a college degree and marketable skills
-don't forget that $1,000 fee, payable upon entry
-no non-Christians allowed, and also disallowed will be anyone with a firearm or a criminal record
-each person must check in at their local ICE office weekly, bringing with them bank statements and records of searching for work
-those not complying will be sent to El Salvador

Remember when Republicans and the right-wing media attacked Biden for flying immigrants into the US. The claim was that Biden did this in the middle of the night to try and hide what was happening. Of course, Trump would never try to hide these flights bringing in White South African 'refugees'. No, he would do it out in the bright light of day, so as to rub it in the faces of everyone, showing them what he can get away with, to say nothing of trying to ingratiate himself with the far-right/White nationalist crowd.

Horrendous stories of militia groups via helicopters invading white owned farmsteads and other white controlled rural locations are plentiful. The use of mass gang rape of Afrikaneer women in front of their families, and murder of all the men used to be fairly easy to find on the internet a decade ago.

The point is, I do not doubt the persecution that many Afrikaneer families have faced. Just as I do not doubt the persecution many South African indigenous people face. Or El Salvadoran, Honduran and Guatemalan indigenous people face. It just offends me that seemingly the ONLY group Trump and MAGA are interested in 'rescuing', are well-to-do Afrikaneer plantation and mine owners.

More black South Africans are attacked in rural outback areas so why only allow the white ones in? I know. The POTUS is a racist and does not like black people. How many are in his cabinet? The vast majority of Afrikaners stayed in South Africa because they consider themselves just as native as their Xhosa or Zulu neighbors. These Afrikaner "refugees" Trumpf took in were unable to psychologically adjust to the fact that "kaffirs" were now in charge of their country. Other Afrikaner and Anglo whites adjusted well in post-apartheid South Africa:
