The Texas House on Sunday passed Senate Bill 10, a measure requiring the display of the Ten Commandments in every public-school classroom in the state. The bill now returns to the Senate for concurrence, following a last-minute perfecting amendment the Senate participated in writing. It would then advance to the desk of Gov. Will these displays protect students from righty incels armed with assault rifles?

They should follow through with this idea and display the names of the various local officials and high-ranking politicians next to the Commandments they violate.

They should put the Display beside a portrait of the current US President.... with a sign asking which of these Ten has he not broken multiple times, and then lied about it.

In Christian understanding, the commandment not to covet the wife of one's neighbour also prohibits a woman from desiring her neighbour's husband. If this covetousness is directed at the spouse of another person, this constitutes a violation of God's commandment.

Given the apparent political focus of Christianity in the US of late, this is not a surprise.

But I have to ask, at what point do the wanderings of the Right-wing Christian Churches into politics triggers a ~they no longer are tax-exempt~ status?
