Pres Trump keeps ceding to Pres Putin what Pres Putin demands.

And Pres Putin, seeing how easy it is to get such concessions from Pres Trump, just keeps demanding more.

Unfortunately Poland just elected Trumper-type as President. Fortunately their President isn't as influential in policy as ours. He won by a fraction of a point, and will be an obstacle to democracy, but as I understand it, not the deciding factor.

Always assumed Putin would move the goalposts to get more and more. He's never going to actually end anything, just take as much as he can before breaking any "agreement."

He knows with a toady like Trump in office he'll get a lot before having to do so.

I agree.

And, if I may add ...

Pres Trump seems to be giving Pres Putin all he (Pres Putin) wants.

Which seems to encourage Pres Putin to demand even more concessions from Pres Trump.

My first question would be ...

Why does Pres Trump (and the GOP, in general) seem to be so willing to participate in this two-step dance that Pres Putin is callin'?

We have now and had all along the ability to arm Ukraine with weapons, including F-16 fighters to make the war much more difficult for Putin and we should be doing that right now! Appeasement by Trump is just like Chamberlain's appeasement to Hitler. Trump is a Putin enabler.

Did you ever stop to ask yourself why America isn't just giving everything to Ukraine? And why other countries aren't either? It's hilarious how much liberals love to use EU countries as an example for everything...until it doesn't meet their narrative. Most EU countries aren't providing a lot of assistance either, even the ones right by the border. Ever consider why? I'll give you a hint, it ain't because they are all in Russia's pocket. The fact so many of you just think America is free to give any nation in the world full military support every time there is a scuffle is so freaking ignorant. Fighting the war for Ukraine invites WW3, so in essence you are not only supporting war right now but also supporting a global war. And that's just sad. What's really kind of ironic about it is your party is also the party who doesn't want America spending money on the military. But all of a sudden you want America to spend money on Ukraine's military. Just more evidence that shows liberals care more about everyone else than their own country.

One of the things I actually agree with Trump about is that the EU does need to step up and be able to provide more for their own continent's security. They need to collectively give Putin a bloody nose when he's being aggressive, as Erdogan put it. Otherwise WW3 will be inevitable, if it isn't already.
