Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Friday, June 20, 2025

"It is my Great Honor to announce that I will be putting up two beautiful Flag Poles on both sides of the White House, North and South Lawns. It is a GIFT from me of something which was always missing from this magnificent place," the president wrote on Truth Social on Tuesday. "These are the most magnificent poles made " They are tall, tapered, rust proof, rope inside the pole, and of the highest quality," the president added. "Hopefully, they will proudly stand at both sides of the White House for many years to come!"

While President Donald Trump weighs the single most consequential decision of his time in office so far -- the possibility of US military intervention in Iran -- he's also completing a personal project years in the making.

Trump: "Let's have it a good -- they call it lifting. They also use another word but I'm not gonna use that word. It starts with an E. Do you know what that word is? If I ever used it I would be run out of town. Alright. So enjoy it."

Both will be removed in 3.5 years.

In the realm of the ridiculous, where buffoons insist facts and "alternate facts" be accorded equal weight, anything is possible.

Usually you see giant flags like that at Husky gas stations.

Congratualtions....the White House is now a used car lot.

Any word on when the giant "truck nutz" will be hung from the portico?

Also, the two new 100-foor tall flagpoles, which Trump is so proud of, one on the North Lawn of the White House and the other on the South Lawn, people are starting to wonder whether the Pentagon had any say in their placement. You see, when the president arrives and leaves the White House on Marine One helicopter, it traditionally lands on the South Lawn. It would seem that the Marine pilots will now need to be extra careful avoiding these two new 100-foot tall obstacles, particularly the one on the South Lawn (let's hope they've placed anti-collision lights on the tops of the flagpoles). Besides, it's not as if there were no flagpoles on or around the White house, there are several, just that none of them reached a height of 100-feet.

Compensating for other short comings.

The homophone of "polls" are sinking in nearly every area polled. Trump's trolling for praise about "poles."

The Nazi in Chief made them 88 feet tall. They're not even hiding it anymore.

This is a remarkably stupid and vainglorious creature defiling the White House. 88-foot tall flagpoles that USMC pilots now have to circumnavigate as OCU pointed out, tells us USSECDEF Pete Kegsbreath or the USSS were not consulted on the matter, but an expert on Nazism was. BTW: Trumpf's nickname for his loyal lickspittle is "Weird Stephen."

Is there not a historical or architectural committee to approve such things? I saw that the Rose Garden is being paved because the grass gets wet. Guess the New York city slicker sissy doesn't want to get his shoes wet.

And now the question is, will Trump be flying the 51 star American flag, one of which can be seen across Lafayette Square, from the White House, hanging on the side of a government building
