Trump tilts at windmills' that ruin view from his golf course
www.thetimes.com

... The US president added to his litany of complaints that wind turbines off the Scottish coast kill birds, make whales crazy and are not biodegradable ...

During a press conference with Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission, he said: "I say to Europe, we will not allow a windmill to be built in the United States. They're killing us. They're killing the beauty of our scenery, our valleys, our beautiful plains."

On the third day of his visit to Scotland, Trump said that the wind turbines had ruined the view from the 18th hole of his Ayrshire golf course. ...

@#3 ... Trump said that the wind turbines had ruined the view from the 18th hole of his Ayrshire golf course. ...

So, that seems to be Pres Trump's main concern in his diatribes regarding windmills?

That they ruin the view from his golf course?

I just watched the press conference.

Trump sounds like a junior high school student. He is not an intelligent man, but he is an emotional child.

How embarrassing

One has to wonder if the fossil fuel industry has Trump on a retainer or something. Human caused global warming is a clear and present danger, and windmills can help countering that coming disaster.

The President seems to be having severe confusion about his own identity; His first name is definitely Don but is his last name actually Quixote? And is he delusionally tilting at windmills thinking they are giants?

he meant "killing us" as in finacially

I work with Wind Farms regularly, they do kill a lot of birds and bats. the estimate is about 1M migrant birds a year and climbing.

The subsidies we provide to the wind industry goes overseas because most of the Turbines are built overseas; Vestas is probably the biggest provider and they are a Danish company, Iberdrola is Scottish, etc...

Every drop of oil replaced by energy from a windmill is a step in the direction of combatting global climate change whether stupid jerks like Desantis and Trump want to understand reality or not.

Well, he did request a billion dollar bribe from Big Oil in order to secure a steep tax cut for them.

Scheid Family Wines, located in Monterey County, California, operates its winery entirely on wind power. They installed a large wind turbine that generates 100% of the electricity needed for their winery and bottling operations, and also provides power to 125 additional local homes. The winery utilizes the consistent winds of the Salinas Valley, making it a highly efficient and sustainable operation.

we will not allow a windmill to be built in the United States.

There are currently 75,000+ wind turbines operating in the US. Is he going to demand they all be removed? How many of those old coal plants has he got fired back up?

I can't believe his staff lets him go out in public. Especially when there are cameras around.

Maybe, just maybe wind turbines are horrible, in the Tehachapi valley there are 3-4 generations of wind turbines. I have never seen greater than 25% working on a given day.

Its just ugly.

Tilting at windmills...

"Destiny guides our fortunes more favorably than we could have expected. Look there, Sancho Panza, my friend, and see those thirty or so wild giants, with whom I intend to do battle and kill each and all of them, so with their stolen booty we can begin to enrich ourselves. This is nobel, righteous warfare, for it is wonderfully useful to God to have such an evil race wiped from the face of the earth."
"What giants?" Asked Sancho Panza.
"The ones you can see over there," answered his master, "with the huge arms, some of which are very nearly two leagues long."

"Now look, your grace," said Sancho, "what you see over there aren't giants, but windmills, and what seems to be arms are just their sails, that go around in the wind and turn the millstone."
"Obviously," replied Don Quixote, "you don't know much about adventures."

Ok, so the liberal measure is now "how much wildlife dies by non-humans" as their measure on whether something is a danger to nature. Guess what, a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE amount of wildlife dies in rainforests, WAAAAAAY more than humans kill...yet that doesn't stop liberals from whining about the lumber industry.

Once again, hypocrisy is the only platform liberals have.

If you understood earth's carbon cycle, you'd know what the lumber industry needs to be regulated. But you're dumb and ignorant, so you dont understand it, and you whine about the smarter people that do understand it.
