Exclusive: President Trump and international partners are discussing plans to build a "Riviera of the Middle East" on the rubble of Gaza. One plan would establish U.S. control and pay all of Gaza's more than 2 million population to leave.

Most controversially, the 38-page plan suggests what it calls "temporary relocation of all of Gaza's more than 2 million population" " a proposal that would amount to ethnic cleansing, potentially a genocidal act.

Palestinians would be encouraged into "voluntary" departure to another country or into restricted, secure zones during reconstruction. Those who own land would be offered "a digital token" by the trust in exchange for rights to redevelop their property, to be used to finance a new life elsewhere.

Those who stay would be housed in properties with a tiny footprint of 323 sq ft " minuscule even by the standards of many non-refugee camp homes in Gaza."

In my view, these "solutions" seem to be more of a perpetuation of the underlying problem, rather than the resolution of that underlying problem.

Attacking the symptoms, and not solving the cause.

Probably most, at least the land, concessions and parking garages like he did in New York City. Trump's counting on the huge conglomerates of hotels and casinos paying big money and come begging to him to get in on the action.

He could be just jawin' to sway Netanyahu. Netanyahu seems to have other high-techy-techy plans for both Gaza and the West Bank.

This battle over Gaza could mean the end of a beautiful friendship.
