Affordable Care Act (ACA) enhanced premium tax credits are set to expire at the end of this year. The enhanced tax credits both increased the amount of financial assistance already eligible ACA Marketplace enrollees received as well as made middle-income enrollees with income above 400% of federal poverty guidelines eligible for premium tax credits. Since the introduction of the enhanced premium tax credits, enrollment in the Marketplace has more than doubled from about 11m to over 24m people, the vast majority of whom receive an enhanced premium tax credit. If enhanced tax credits expire, many Marketplace enrollees will continue to qualify for a smaller tax credit, while others will lose eligibility altogether and be hit by a "double whammy" of losing their entire tax credit and being on the hook for rising premiums. For many Americans, their premiums will double.

The Republican Party has made no secret about their intention to destroy Medicaid, Medicare, and Obamacare (the ACA), as well as privatizing our social security funds. The horrendous effects of the 'BBB" is coming fast and soon for vulnerable Americans, just like the great white shark in Jaws, all just to give fat-a$$ no-good billionaire oligarchs a gigantic and unneeded tax break. Great job on 5 Nov 2024 Republican voters! All of you must be wealthy with private physicians, platinum healthcare plans, and nearby fully-staffed clinics and hospitals to take good care of you and your families when you get sick, injured, or shot.

The GOP has always hated the ACA which was Obama's signature legislation from his first term because it allowed the lower middle class afford health insurance. They have tried hundreds of times to repeal it, but outright repeal is unpopular so in both of Cankles tax scams they are putting a pillow over its face...first by repealing the mandate penalties and now by removing the subsidies.

Will they offer their own plan? No because that helps the lower middle class.
