The U.S. military killed four men aboard a boat in international waters near Venezuela, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced on Friday, in the first such strike since the Trump administration told Congress that the United States was engaged in a formal "armed conflict" with Latin American cartels.

There are lingering questions about what happened with that strike. It is not clear why so many people were aboard, raising suspicions that some may have been migrants rather than crew members. People briefed on a lengthier video of the operation than the one the administration released say that the boat had turned around before the U.S. military struck, apparently spooked by an aircraft, and that it was hit repeatedly before it sank.

This is a ------- war crime.

This is ------- murder

A speedboat, which is made of fiberglass was hit REPEATEDLY before it sank

This is called murder under ANY situation.

A fiberglass speedboat hit by munitions is dead in the water. meaning these murder victims were clinging to wreckage.

This is unconscionable!

Every ------- ------- in the whole chain of command should be court martialed

We LITERALLY prosecuted nazi submariners for doing this exact thing!

Look up U-boat commander, Heinz-Wilhelm Eck and his sinking of the Greek ship Peleus.

Anyone who defends this should just go ---- themselves, hard.

-------
NAZIS

He's trying to start a war with Venezuela, who can never be forgiven for nationalizing their oil industry and booting US companies out.

Don't get self righteous. Been happening since day one.

"Venezuela, who can never be forgiven for nationalizing their oil industry and booting US companies out."

You might want to get checked out for myopic tunnel vision. There are reasons for there being so many Venezuelan refugees all over the Americas other than "USA bad!"

"Mr. Hegseth accused the four dead men of having been smuggling narcotics, without offering evidence."

The assumption being he had no evidence.

The assumption being he had no evidence.

Maybe these boats are just cartel drones with nothing in them so Lewzer has something to shoot at while they route the drugs some other way?

This is false, he's trying to prevent China from slurping up the Venezuela oil.

This is all a negotiation.

The war Trump's Military is preparing for is with China... lots more military contracts with corporations to scam off of.

It's not drugs... it's oil. Venezuela needs to tell us to feck off.

Attempting to provoke a war with Venezuela in order to steal its oil by blowing up boats and slaughtering people in international waters ... with zero credible evidence in support of unverified blah-blah from Trump and his lying, criminalistic stooges.

They aren't even trying to stitch together a credible cover story, accustomed, as they are, to dealing with mouth-breathing MAGAts.

What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence.

Occam's Razor says it's simple insanity.

This is disappointing. I'd thought you'd wormed yourself up Trump's butt where you might see his brain by now.

Was there no Horse Paste on the cruise ship?

#19 | Posted by snoofy at 2025-10-06 10:08 AM | Reply

Interesting.
There has been ZERO evidence presented so far these boats were smuggling drugs. Far better would be to capture the boats, and if they dump drugs overboard, film them doing it. Then put them on trial or demand Venezuela do so.

But with rushing to the execution phase of the no-trial, things look suspiciously along the lines of a "Marco Polo Bridge," manufacturing a crisis in order to distract the gullible USA voters by a "needed intervention" with the military.

There is also the matter of killing foreign nationals who are obviously not enemy combatants, which (looking) why YES, is a war crime, and against the Geneva convention.
