You don't need to commit a crime to be deported. Not being in the country with valid entry credentials is what gets you deported. You could be a saint, but if you're in the country illegally you need to be sent home.

I don't dispute that people here illegally ought to be sent home. I was at work one night when it happened. And it didn't take a dozen agents in body armor covering their faces to make it happen. It didn't take camp. It took two US Marshalls in a SUV, next stop Dulles for the next flight to Jamaica or Haiti or whoever it was.
So I don't see how it's a hundred and fifty billion dollar problem. And this is before factoring in that economically speaking, illegal immigrants are a net positive.
I don't see how pursuit of that goal is a good reason to create the largest police force on the planet.
Since you do see that, please explain what I'm missing.
I'll tell you what I do see. I do see how creating a large police force tasked with rounding people up will find new targets to round up, once the original target pool has been depleted.
Now, I know there are a few Republicans here who can admit they want the Liberals rounded up. None of the other Republicans can even comment on it.
It's hard to say which is worse, but I think it's the latter group; the ones who are dishonest or just won't talk about it.
So who do you think ICE will be rounding up next? Or are you one of the people who just won't talk about it.
