Senate Republicans on Thursday blocked a motion to advance a Democrat-drafted bill to extend enhanced health insurance premium subsidies that are due to expire at the end of 2025, tax credits that Democrats say are needed to keep premiums from rising by double digits next year. The legislation, which needed 60 votes to advance, failed by a vote of 51 to 48.

I thought the Democrats caved in on the government shutdown to prevent this very disaster from happening.

Who were those eight Democratic caucus members who capitulated to the Republicans?

Everyone knew this was going to happen but 8 moronic Democrats still sold out the entire country for this "promised" vote.

Are you in favor of Trump subverting the midterms?

I ask this because you seem to support any action that keeps the GOP from being honestly competitive.

You Built That!

Republicans NEVER negotiate in good faith.

How many times has this been seen before?

The Eight Democratic Senators, one of which was my former Senator for many years before I moved, were just Cowards.

As soon as the pressure started to build they collapsed and surrendered completely.

???

It made no sense whatsoever at the time.

The Republicans were losing the battle for public opinion.

The vote won't happen.

They prostrated themselves and betrayed the country for NOTHING.

Tim Kaine is Retiring, he's the biggest coward of all.

My former Senator.
