... "Progressivism seeks to replace the basic premises of the Declaration of Independence and hence our form of government," Thomas said in a speech at the University of Texas Austin Law School pegged to the nation's upcoming milestone birthday. A spirit of "cynicism, rejection, hostility and animus" toward America -- by Americans -- has taken hold, Thomas said in remarks carried live on CSPAN. Thomas, the Supreme Court's senior conservative member, spoke broadly, not referencing specific contemporary events or political figures to make his case. But his comments come at a critical time for the sharply divided country and the Court. He said that the values enshrined in the 1776 Declaration of Independence have "fallen out of favor" among Americans -- a trend perpetrated, he argued, by "intellectuals" and the nation's colleges and universities. Thomas also said he believes many people no longer believe "all men are created equal" and deserving of "unalienable rights" protected by a limited government. "[Progressivism] holds that our rights and our dignities come not from God, but from government," he said. "It requires of the people a subservience and weakness incompatible with a constitution premised on the transcendent origin of our rights." ...

Uncle Thomas is worried he may be exposed as a pedophile once Democrats retake Congress and release the Epstein files.

Was Thomas, that paragon to judicial mediocrity, delivered to this sad jeremiad via the RV he obtained his usual way: rank corruption?
You betcha he isn't keen on progressives/progressivism and anything else he doesn't understand or thinks threatens him keeping his shoved way down deep in the trough.

Sexual misconduct allegations should absolutely be examined during Senate confirmation hearings, especially for lifetime appointments.
Not only is examining such conduct insightful into the individual character of a person, but provides a window into how they might behave while given extraordinary power. They might do it again.
Which, Clarence did do it again while a Justice during his career. He should have been disqualified (and so should have Kavanaugh).
But while Clarence was ultimately appointed, it was not without public humiliation.
Thomas has never forgotten it, holds a grudge against libs, and only seeks to make them suffer for it. And have a luxurious paid lifestyle for being a shill.

"Progressivism seeks to replace the basic premises of the Declaration of Independence and hence our form of government,"
The Declaration of Independence is a propaganda screed, with no control over our "form of government."

And Joe Biden helped shoot her down.

Excellent memory, Morris.
AI time machine snapshot:
"In 1991, US Senator Joe Biden (D-DE) did not overtly "help" Clarence Thomas by sabotaging Anita Hill's testimony, but the Senate Judiciary committee's approach under his leadership was widely seen as dismissive and unfair to Hill. For example, Biden limited the time for Hill's testimony and did not call additional witnesses who could have supported her claims.
Biden has since expressed regret for not providing Anita Hill with a better hearing and has said he believed her allegations at the time. However, Anita Hill and others have criticized his apologies as insufficient, arguing that the committee's treatment of her testimony contributed to Thomas's confirmation despite serious allegations."
Just like Brett Kavanaugh got a free pass and look where Amerikkka is today.
One wonders why Barack Obama chose Joe Biden for VPOTUS.
Possibly because Joe Biden was the white guy member of the status quo to make the schwartzer more palatable as POTUS to white people.
Democrat Joe Biden, protector of the status quo to the last.

"Democrat Joe Biden, protector of the status quo to the last."
True dat.
It's also sadly true for the people of Palestine -- and now Lebanon -- that the status quo was a net global positive, compared to where we are now.

There's no wonder at all.
Biden is a Conservative Democrat. An Incrementalist. Not a "Sweeping Change" guy.

Yup. Kamala campaigned on the the status quo. Right down to our continued efforts to kill and maim people and lots of little kiddos.
Trump and Israel's growing unpopularity in the US is a great opportunity for the next rwinger to step up and capitalize.
Dems need to get their house in order on this issue. Many are perfectly in sync with Trump on Iran.
Meanwhile, the war crimes are so bad, even people like Megyn Kelly are starting to cringe. And that woman bathes in the blood of children (people are saying). Hence the blood coming out of her whatever.

Hi Snoofy:
Yup.
Remember in 2007 how US Senator Joe Biden (D-DE) pitched Barack Obama to white Amerikkka?
AI time machine remembers:
"Joe Biden described Barack Obama as "the first mainstream African-American who is articulate," specifically in Jan and Feb 2007, during Obama's rise as a US Senator and POTUS candidate. This characterization was made during interviews and public comments around that time."
Translation: "Barack's pretty smart for a schwartzer! You'll like him over the other Shadows!"

It's so wild. It's *almost* like we don't even have an opposition party and they're all primarily funded by the same people. Almost.

Plenty of Jews in NYC and Israel abhor AIPAC because they know exactly what it is: A nefarious vehicle to ethnically cleanse Israel of Palestinians with American taxpayer dollars.
Is there anybody on the planet that does not know this?
