Fans heading to games at the World Cup will be banned from taking reusable water bottles into stadiums, a last-minute policy reversal that could add to concerns about heat at this summer's tournament.

"In parts of the southern US, daytime temperatures regularly climb into the mid-80s Fahrenheit and beyond during June and July. The Club World Cup held in the US last summer drew complaints from players and fans about the heat.

"Temperatures at 14 of the 16 stadiums being used for the World Cup could reach levels that pose health risks for players and spectators alike."

Those aluminum bottles an be used as weapons. RoW is insane about their Football and attacking opposing fans.

Good move by FIFA. Of course CornHolio would complain he just bought his $1200 Stanley because he's a corporate whore.

You know, more than once I've seen exactly this as an argument for the 2nd Amendment.

Nice try. The last minute rule change bans "empty, transparent reusable plastic bottles", which were previously permitted.

I went to a Padre game and my friend brought a cooler filled with rum and a small amount of coke. Sat in the bleachers in the sun and barely made it home. Good times. 1980, I think.

Dumbass never heard of Contigo

#7 | Posted by LegallyYourDead at 2026-06-04 03:13 PM | Reply

What does Contigo have to do with it? Are they plastic?
MLS has allowed plastic water refillable bottles for years, and yes, they do get tossed onto the field at times. Games I have been at, the throwers have been forcefully removed. There are ushers, security within 30 yards of almost every location.
The players get water breaks this year but not the fans?
Bet water bottles will be sold for 10 bucks a piece and the refill stations will be shut off.
Yet another reason I will not attend a World Cup game this year.
Low attendance, empty hotels and they continue to try and fleece the fans.

Yes, chuckles. I have many Contigo see-through water bottles. Who the fuck asked you?

I'm sure they'll sell you a bottle for $50 while you are there.

I'm sure that's the whole point.

You gentlemen basically covered it.

FIFA = FIFA is run by Inconsiderate F***ing A**holes.

Blech! Good-for-nothing Carmine Infantmindo is utterly nauseous and bad for my hair.

Months ago, NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) and the city of Vancouver BC were the first ones to stand up to oligarch wannabe Carmine Infantmindo. If you read my OPs, His Honor did a ton for NYC FIFA fans in NYC.

And just imagine if Team Israel qualified for FIFA 2026?

What an uproar-- a repeat of the 2024 nationwide righteous demonstrations against Israel's brutal ethnic cleansing of human beings in Gaza.

And poor Team Iran is worried about getting whacked, bullied, or put under severe severe surveillance by the Crushers.

Still no one can figure out why FIFA, Eurovision, and the Olympics ban Russian performers and athletes from competing under their tri-color, but not Israeli performers or athletes.

NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani (DNC)

Truth in advertising.

Despite the DNC's best efforts.

Andrew Cuomo was this pick.

John Fetterman (D-Israel **) only votes with Democrats in the US Senate 85% of the time.

Meanwhile, Dave McCormick (R-MAGA) votes against Democrats in the US Senate (and for Trmmpf, of course), 100% of the time

Thanks for making the perfect the enemy of the achievable, you Jew hater ** C0RI0LANUS.

#14 Other than in a fevered hallucination, just exactly where did you find an official DNC directive demanding that Andrew Cuomo be the pick?

Hint: You can't.

Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Ken Martin officially endorsed Zohran Mamdani during his 2025 campaign for New York City Mayor. While the wider Democratic establishment was initially slow to back the democratic socialist, Martin actively supported Mamdani, eventually congratulating him on his mayoral victory in November 2025.

Key Details of the Endorsement and Campaign:

DNC Support: Chair Ken Martin publicly encouraged voters to back Mamdani, later stating that the Democratic Party "wins through addition" and that a broad, inclusive coalition is essential to the party's future success.

Establishment Hesitation: Powerful New York Democrats like Senator Chuck Schumer and Representative Hakeem Jeffries initially declined to endorse Mamdani.

High-Profile Backing: Before winning the mayoral seat, Mamdani secured major endorsements from prominent progressives like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders, as well as a tepid endorsement from then-Vice President Kamala Harris and a localized endorsement from NY Governor Kathy Hochul.Recent

Activity: Now serving as Mayor of New York City, Mamdani's political presence continues to cause waves. In late May 2026, he notably made local headlines by endorsing a progressive challenger in a key congressional race against incumbent Adriano Espaillat.

The DNC (and, by extension, Ken Martin) deserve a lot of blame.

But, are they worse than Trump, MAGA and the Republicans?

Only if you want to see the Democratic Party crippled in their attempt (from Maine to Alaska) to defang Trump, MAGA and the Republican Party.

OMG.

The same NYS DNC folks that pushed out sleazy Andrew "Judas Iscariot" Cuomo when he was governor then recruited him on name recognition to try and beat the popular Muslim candidate. Mega-oligarch Michael Bloomberg wasted a small fortune. What a shame. This super-rich Islamophobe is doing the same thing in Colorado (of all places) this year.

The DNC pushed out "Genocide Joe" in 2024, too.

And the DNC quashed POTUS candidate US Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in 2016.

In 2025, the only NYC mayoral candidate who showed principle was cat-lover Curtis Sliwa (R) who loudly condemned the threats against poor Zohran Mamdani (D) and his wife while on stage during a public debate.

Andrew "AIPAC" Cuomo said NOTHING while staring at his shoes.

Plus his smear ads "darkened" Zohran to look like a Zulu.

New Yorkers can't wait for sexual predator Andrew "Benedict Arnold" Cuomo, Eric Adams, George Santos, and Alan Dershowitz to just finally skedaddle already.

"Get thee gone, foul wart-infested mewling half-gnomes!"

Oy, my hair is falling out just thinking of these dibbuks.

#8 You don't strive to be "interesting," C0RI0LANUS.

You strive to be as destructive to the Democratic Party as possible.

Meanwhile, bemoaning the lack of "recognition" of your impotent missives is just way too funny, thinned-skinned little boi and Jew hater, C0RI0LANUS.

Zohran Mamdani is a member of the Democratic National Committee. (the "dreaded" "DNC") He is affiliated with the Democratic Party and has been described as a democratic socialist aligned with the party's progressive wing. Mamdani's campaign focuses on making New York City more affordable and has garnered support from various Democratic leaders.

Xavier Becerra is a member of the Democratic National Committee (the "dreaded" "DNC").

#16 | POSTED BY A_FRIEND

Of course he was.

Why are you pretending otherwise.

I'm going to vote for democrats when it matters.

But the DNC is funded by the same people as the GOP.

The GOP has simply proven to have a better return on investment than the DNC.

Once the DNC remembers the people are the power, they will start winning again.

#22 Nope. He wasn't "the pick"

"But the DNC is funded by the same people as the GOP."

No, it isn't.

Zohran Mamdani is a member of the Democratic National Committee. (the "dreaded" "DNC")

Xavier Becerra is a member of the Democratic National Committee (the "dreaded" "DNC").

Are Mamdani and Becerra the enemy?

I think they're warriors on the righteous side.

You, apparently, do not as they are "DNC," right?

F*ck, Clown, I wish you were ///...//////..../////....

#22 Clown says, "...they will start winning again."

Oh?

And just what are these, Clown?

-> Georgia voters ousted two Republican members of the state's Public Service Commission in favor of two Democrats - the first Democrats to win statewide nonfederal offices in decades.

-> Democrats in Mississippi Break the G.O.P.'s State House Supermajority

-> Every single county in Virginia - even deeply red counties - saw shifts TOWARDS the Democrats, as opposed to how they voted 1 year ago.

-> Dems flip Wichita School Board from a 4-3 GOP majority to a 5-2 Democratic majority. Democratic candidates Amy Warren and Amy Jensen defeated Republican incumbents Hazel Stabler and Kathy Bond.

-> Two of Tuesday's school board elections were in Bucks County, Pa., which was considered "ground zero" for right-wing groups' takeover of school boards in 2021. A few years ago, conservatives on these boards in Pennbridge and Central Bucks districts were using their roles to pass policies targeting LGBTQ+ students and banning books.

---> Democrats flipped control of both boards in 2023, and on Tuesday, they ousted every Republican from both of these boards, except for one. The Pennbridge school board is now 8-1, with Democratic members in control. The Central Bucks school board is 9-0.

-> In Texas, we even won in Lockhart, which sits in a district so red that Democrats normally don't even run. We had a clean sweep in Cy-Fair ISD, another deeply red area that not even Greg Abbott could save your party.

-> In SD-9, another red district, we saw an 8 point shift for the Democrat

-> Eileen Higgins elected as first Democratic mayor of Miami in three decades

Do you consider those not winning, Clown?

In 2001, Ralph Nader responded the best when he was pestered by upset AIPAC Democrats:

"I didn't cost Al Gore the 2000 election. He cost me the election."

*** NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) Doing the Most for FIFA Fans ***

Besides offering free venues with huge TV screens in a major park in each of the five boroughs throughout the entire spectacle, His Honor established a lottery where New Yorkers could buy premium seats for only $50. And this includes free transportation from Manhattan to the Meadowlands and back.

His FIFA plan with (Jewish) NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, who was honorary Grand Marshal at the recent Israel Day parade, also includes transportation and security plans for this rare event.

And therefore plenty of -- "cha-ching" -- overtime for New York's Finest.

NYS Gov Kathy Hochul (D), who has a 15-point lead over the repulsive Bruce Blakeman (R-Israel) in the race for governor, should get a small boost in the polls if FIFA comes off smooth in NYC.

She needs Zohran more than the other way around. So, Gov Hochul just signed a law criminalizing law-enforcement officers from wearing masks in NYS. NYPD, NYSP, and possibly the new NYC Sheriff and his deputies might be busy monitoring for masked ICE ruffians during the FIFA spectacle.

Meanwhile, FIFA fans in Texas will be beset by an army of Baptist Christians proselytizing them in the sweltering heat.

Oy, gevalt!
