Was Bibi stupid enough to think he could control Trump? The man is beholden only to himself. Period.

Of course, it's important to consider that what Israel is demanding of the US is absurd and absent a full takeover of control of the US government was unlikely to ever go Bibi's way.

But maybe that's the point of the merger between Israel and the US' military. That's Plan B.

Stupid enough, or desperate enough?

PM Netanyahu needed to be re-elected to avoid prosecution (as I understand the situation there).
