Supposedly she does not like Mr El-Sayed's stance on Israel.

So, Ms Stevens seems to against, in a pique, supporting her Party's candidate because of one possible issue on which she seems to disagree, than she is concerned about supporting the other Party's candidate for being, as she seems to ascribe to him, being a Trump toady?
OK.
But wow.
It will be quite interesting how the good people of Michigan work through this on Election Day.

Election reform is a threat to Democrats, but not democracy. Allowing Democrats to "find" votes in the middle of the night that were manufactured from unmaintained registration lists is not democracy.

El-Sayed asked Stevens to stay away from his events last weekend because she wouldn't stop bringing up and asking him to disclaim an ad from an outside PAC, even though AES said he doesn't agree with it's premise.
Steven's fiancee is Jewish. His father was born in Haifa, and he still has many relatives there.
What Stevens did was nuts. I suspect it's going to help AES. Voters are pi&&ed at her.

nope. I voted for Hamilton....the other option.
Character? not a douchebag? unfortunately, I believe both choices come up short in those categories.
My daughter interned for Marshall for part of a summer 4-5 years ago. She also interned for our congressman.
Marshall's office was very toxic.
Anyway...none of that matters. I've met Marshall on several occasions and my trade association lobbies all of Kansas's representation in DC.
Marshall has always met with us and been quite responsive.
But I have to believe/trust the next guy will be the same. We'll see.........

Dems are for all the things Christ (the namesake) said.
Current Republicans (since the 1980's) seem to pull their religion from the unforgiving Leviticus, which has nothing to do with Christianity.

My younger son campaigned for a summer during high school last decade for a candidate from southern Virginia named Tom Perriello. "Common Good Summer." Perriello was brought up a good left-wing Catholic (think Catholic social teaching, liberation theology) and is running again this year.
www.tomperriello.com
It's nice to have some character choices here in the South:
Tom Perriello has spent 25 years winning tough fights -- taking on corporate lobbyists, electric utility monopolies, and the Trump administration -- and pushing for our country to go bigger and be bolder to deliver results that bring down costs, raise paychecks, and protect our democracy. Born in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains and educated in Albemarle County public schools, Tom flipped one of Virginia's most conservative congressional districts in 2008 -- a seat the pundits had written off. He cast the key vote to pass the Affordable Care Act, fought for Wall Street accountability, and earned an A+ from Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. After Congress, he led organizations that fought for more affordable healthcare, stronger voting rights and reproductive freedoms, and doubling the minimum wage. President Obama then asked him to represent our country, negotiating deals to expand human rights and humanitarian access. In Congress, Tom stood up to intense pressure from corporate lobbyists to cast a courageous vote for the Affordable Care Act -- guaranteeing coverage for more than 32,000 people in his district and making it illegal to deny coverage for pre-existing conditions. Tom even pushed Democratic leaders to go bolder, with a public option or buy-in to Medicare. After Congress, he kept fighting to reduce prescription drug prices, expand Medicaid coverage for more than 600,000 Virginians, and prevent our rural health clinics from closing.

Good guy. My son was in rural VA. He won Perriello's award at the end of the summer for Most Likely to Be Chased by a Dog.

Oops. Character:
The son of Linda and Vito Perriello, Tom still lives outside Charlottesville. He is an Eagle Scout from Troop 114 and a graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School. His parents and his parish taught him to live a life of service, to treat compassion as a verb, and to understand that love of neighbor does not stop at the end of your street. Tom has 7 godchildren and is the proud uncle of 10 nieces and nephews.
