I'm running the same machine I built back around 2017 - i7-6700K (8) @ 4.20 GHz, four 16 GB Corsair DDR4 modules, and a 16gb GeForce RTX 4070 I bought for $700 a bit over two years ago. I have around 25T of storage I installed about 3 years ago.
It was pretty nice at the time when I put it together. I have done a ton of computational work on it since, most often geospatial analysis.
It still runs like a champ. If you run Linux (Debian Sid for me), blow out the dust every month or so, replace thermal paste (get the good stuff) every three years or so, and your machine will last far longer than any machine on Windows. Linux is a lot more lightweight so your hardware works less.
I am waiting with something akin to sheer terror for it to die any day. It'll cost at least 7k to replace.
What the Fauci is this!
