-But at this point I think many people would like to see strong evidence beyond Trump and Hegseth's word.
My point is that if such evidence is presented, then I suppose people want the truth.
But if no evidence surfaces......then I think most folks will continue believing they were drug runners.
Here's the thing.......you, Donner, Alex, even trite, etc....you all want to believe they were fishermen. You WANT that to be the truth.
Which is fine......but you assign that want to most Americans. That's the source of so much of your disappointment in results....how Trump gets elected twice, how J6 happens and he escapes it, and dozens of other issues that fail to come to any satisfying fruition. Most Americans don't WANT the truth to be they were fishermen. If anything, they WANT to believe they were drug runners not because they blindly believe Trump but because they know drug running is a massive business, kills/imprisons, etc way too many Americans, and they want someone to do something about it.
-I am willing to go out in a limb here and bet that's what MOST Americans want, too.
Right now, I don't most Americans care very much about drug runners being killed while running drugs.
Where is the burden for our government to prove they were drug runners? They've claimed just that. So now what? Congress compels them to prove it? If not Congress then who?
Is that going to happen? Where is the grassroots push to get the government to prove they were drug runners?
It seems to me that the burden to prove they weren't drug runners is on whomever really wants to prove that.
