That's part of a trend of Southwestern states having to repay the federal government for SNAP benefits.

I love how DonorBot glosses over the amount of money owed, that doesn't mean anything.

Lumpers run around claiming California would be the Nth largest economy in the world, yet continues to short change the Federal government via fraud, mistakes, and just not paying its fairshare.

Lumpers will then claim California pays the fed more than it gets back, well it should just like income tax is progressive so should California contribute more than Mississippi.

Yet California continually comes up short. It has $20 billion in pandemic federal unemployment insurance debt. California is the only state that has not repaid this loan, so now federal payroll taxes on businesses are increasing annually until the balance is cleared.

IOW Californians are taxed even more because it doesn't repay its debt.

Think of what $1B dollars could do? Why thats USAID money right there.

Trump is wasting billions a day on a war with Iran and Turds is worried about poor people receiving assistance to buy food.

idk, he's certainly using assets that have already been paid for. My take is the military is learning how to fight with/against drone technology. This is probably a good thing.

The worry isn't about poor people receiving assistance you PortaPotty, but people that don't need assistance are getting paid.
People are literally stealing from the poor people, and you can't see it. You suffer from a fascinating blindness.
