We tolerate that from our politicians. Trump just did what politicians do. It's not an excuse....I'm saying Americans have been watching this soap opera for a long long time.
We tolerate the sale of alcohol, tobacco, horrible foods, guns, prescription drugs at an alarming rate, we allow people to drive above 55 MPH....and ALL of that generates a lot of preventable deaths a year. What's missing? drugs/narcotics.....and there is a faction of people arguing to legalize those as well.
Not being all judgy about it....just seeing it for what it is. This country has a strong tolerance for preventable deaths, and that obviously included COVID.
Here we are 6 years later.......and where are we? In exactly the same place. Nobody has moved an inch on this issue. Trump's approval numbers might be dropping but COVID has nothing to do with it.
