Apparently helping us is "NOT WARRANTED" after all. On Friday, April 11, 2025 FEMA announced the White House has denied North Carolina's request for FEMA to extend full reimbursement for Helene damages.

The state initially requested an extension of 100% of federal costs for debris removal and emergency protective measures. Friday, the agency denied the request stating it was "not warranted."

So much for the hero riding in on his white stallion.

(I'm sure his supporters (especially in NC) will think of excuses to continue their adoration despite this setback)
