That's a bad dead, having to give up everything. Don't Trumpers notice it's a bad deal?

Quite the record of military service in the Trump family. As in, zero military service - neither in peacetime nor (never forfend!) war. Old Cadet Waddling Bone Spurs himself "was uniquely qualified to serve his country, having graduated in 1964 from the New York Military Academy, where he was an officer in an officially established ROTC program" (www.capecodtimes.com). But, li,e Dick Cheney, he had other priorities.

One thing about the Trumps: they've made it crystal clear that when it comes to national service, it just ain't for them.

From the date of the birth of Donald Trump's grandfather in 1869 to the birth of Tristan Miles Trump in 2011, we see zero military service. This also includes: Frederick Trump (1869-1918); Henry Trump (1899-1900); Fred Christ Trump Sr. (1905-1999); John George Trump (1907-1985); Fred Christ Trump Jr. (1938-1981); Donald J. Trump (1946 to present); Robert Trump (1948-present); John Gordon Trump (1938-2012); Fred Trump III (1962-present); Donald John Trump Jr. (1977-present); Eric Frederick Trump (1984-present); Barron William Trump (2006-present); Christopher Trump (1995-present); William Trump (1999-present); Donald John Trump III (2009-present); Tristan Milos Trump (2011-present); Spencer Frederick Trump (2012-present); John Frederick (Trump) Kushner (2013 to present); and Theodore James (Trump) Kushner (2016 to present).

This list covers 147 years of Donald Trump's direct male ancestors and successors who have lived in America during these 147 years. To be fair, one died in infancy, one is seriously disabled and six are young children. Thus there were 10 mature Trump men who were of military service age during this time.

And during these same 147-year span the following military conflicts occurred: Spanish American War (1898); Boxer Rebellion (1899-1901); occupation of the Dominican Republic (1916-1924); World War I (1914-1918); World War II (1939-1945); Korean War (1950-1953); Vietnam War (1968-1975); invasion of Grenada (1983); invasion of Panama (1989-1991); Gulf War (1990-1991); Bosnian War (1992-1995); Kosovo War (1998-1999); Afghanistan War (2001-2014); and the Iraq War (2003-2014) (www.capecodtimes.com).

The author accounts for that. You read the article, yes? Anyway, when its author runs for president and he and some of his broken offspring hoot and holler about what macho nacho guys they are and the terrific sacrifices they've made ... .then, yeah, let's do a deep dive into his family tree.

Staying on topic hard werk for you, kiddo?

" "I know it hurts," Biden told the families of fallen veterans. "The hurt is still real. Still raw. This week marks nine years since I lost my son Beau."
"The pain of his loss is with me every day, as it is with you," he said. "Still sharp. Still clear. But so is the pride I feel in the service. As if I can still hear him saying, It's my duty, Dad. It's my duty.'"

en.wikipedia.org
Biden was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his service in Iraq.[31] Army Chief of Staff Raymond Odierno delivered the eulogy at Biden's funeral and presented a posthumous Legion of Merit for his service in the Delaware National Guard, stating "Beau Biden possessed the traits I have witnessed in only the greatest leaders."[32] He was also posthumously presented with the Delaware Conspicuous Service Cross, which is "awarded for heroism, meritorious service and outstanding achievement".[33]

According to his father, Beau was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis in 2001 after returning from service in Kosovo.[48] He was later diagnosed with brain cancer, which his father believes was possibly a consequence of exposure to military burn pits in Iraq.[49]

Sure, ------- and Biden-same thing.

For the most part Biden's remarks were on point.

His son didn't die in service of this country. That's where I have a beef with him bringing up his son on Memorial Day. He does it to try and be empathetic but his son didn't die from combat. He died of cancer years later.

#46. The difference being it is Trump's son who made the horribly timed comments, not Trump himself. Although it wouldn't surprise me if Eric did it at the behest of his father.

At worst he MIGHT not have died in service. More likely he did die as a result of his service as did any vet who caught cancer from burn pits in Iraq.

But since you don't think the police who killed themselves as a result of the trauma of January 6 was caused by January 6, one will understand that you just don't get it.

Trump's uplifting Memorial Day message to America (NOT):

Happy Memorial Day to All, including the Human Scum that is working so hard to destroy our Once Great Country, & to the Radical Left, Trump Hating Federal Judge in New York that presided over, get this, TWO separate trials, that awarded a woman, who I never met before (a quick handshake at a celebrity event, 25 years ago, doesn't count!), 91 MILLION DOLLARS for "DEFAMATION." She didn't know when the so-called event took place " sometime in the 1990's " never filed a police report, didn't have to produce the "dress" that she threatened me with (it showed negative!), & sung my praises in the first half of her CNN Interview with Alison Cooper, but changed her tune in the second half " Gee, I wonder why (UNDER APPEAL!)? The Rape charge was dropped by a jury! Or Arthur Engoron, the N.Y. State Wacko Judge who fined me almost 500 Million Dollars (UNDER APPEAL) for DOING NOTHING WRONG, used a Statute that has never been used before, gave me NO JURY, Mar-a-Lago at $18,000,000 " Now for Merchan!

Eric Trump retweeted a photo of the Trump family captioned "The family that gave up everything to Save America! Thank You"

"I wasn't going to tweet anything political this weekend, but i have to make an exception for this," wrote former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), a former Air Force second lieutenant who is a fierce critic of the Trumps.

"Your family has sacrificed nothing, your name will become synonymous with Benedict Arnold' and how dare you tweet this, THIS weekend," he wrote on X. "You don't know the first thing about service you child."

Conservative commentator Bill Kristol, meanwhile, called Eric Trump's tweet "particularly disgusting to post... on Memorial Day weekend."

Others recalled presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump's past derogatory comments about members and veterans of the U.S. military such as calling fallen soldiers "suckers" and his five deferments to avoid the Vietnam draft.
