Not only does insurance deny procedures, now doctors keep their careers by denying required medicine.
Fracking is allowed anyplace, regardless the obvious toxicity and long-term damage.
Hospitals should not exist as private for-profit organizations, imo.

Trump and his SC Gang should be charged with murder.
Visitor should be charged with aiding and abetting... and laughing about these deaths.

"If a woman who would have gotten a legal termination if she could because it is safer than not having one happens to die from what seemed like a normal pregnancy oh well that's too bad, it's God's Will anyhow, and if she was right with Christ she is in a better place so what is the big problem. The wastage of pregnant women is well worth the glorious aims of the prolifers."

Hey scumbag! I did NOT post that in this thread, nor would I have. That comment was in reference to the white nationalist fantasy of more white people having more kids failing, not women dying because they couldn't get healthcare.
You know full well that's the opposite of what happened here.

Of course the klan cult will blame a black liberal for the consequences of white republican leadership.

So, now we'll be getting the lagging stats on deaths thanks to the pro "life" crowd.

#5 Tor They won't change the law. The rich white lady's fanily has a personal private pohysician that will make sure she gets the medical care she needs and won't die. They can afford to do that!

I've said it before, I'll say it again. The effects of Dobbs have been the following:
1. An increase in the number of abortions nationwide. 2. An increase in the level of effort it takes to obtain an abortion. 3. An increase in the hazards of becoming pregnant. 4. A decrease in birth rate. 5. An increase in the number of women choosing permanent measures to prevent pregnancy.
Pregnancy is now more dangerous for women, more costly and more of those precious fertilized eggs are being destroyed. The effort to increase the birth rate failed miserably, resulting in a lowering of the birth rate.
I realize "pro-life" people tend to be less educated, more ignorant and often just plain stupider than the average person, and these facts won't permeate their bubble. But, a person with a true, sincere belief in protecting the unborn, should, counterintuitively, protect abortion, because once you make that illegal, it won't stop women from a. having sex, b. getting rid of unwanted fetuses and c. taking measures to avoid getting pregnant to begin with.
Long story short? Congrats, you played yourself.

I'm wondering what would happen if a pregnant woman, under the same circumstances, was rushed to a hospital where her husband (or her father) was the ER doctor.
Would he let his wife (or daughter) die?

I guess doctors will have a lawyer present in the ER. Makes sense. Lawyers make these stupid laws to create new revenue streams. Every crisis is an opportunity.

Don't be silly they will be tracking the pregnancy and will recognize early that an abortion is needed and will shuffle the woman off to a ----------- state.
i.e. rich people
Ex. my daughter will ALWAYS have a choice.
To say nothing of those doctors fleeing the -------- states.

Well said and it's not limited to healthcare sevices, lawyers advertise on TV all the timw with client: fillin the bllank, saying My attorney got me $300K, $500K and everyone knows how many fraudulent claims are made every year. We all pay for it in rising insurance costs. Attorneys were barred from crass TV and radio advertising for many years and should be again.

So why is your cult against birth control too?
#27 | Posted by SpeakSoftly at 2024-09-16 07:34 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 4
No birth control method is 100% effective at preventing pregnancy, except for complete abstinence from sexual intercourse. The most effective reversible methods are long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs) like implants and IUDs, which are over 99% effective with both perfect and typical use. Hormonal methods like the pill, patch, and ring are 91-99% effective, depending on perfect vs. typical use. Barrier methods like condoms are 82-98% effective, again varying based on perfect vs. typical use

The AMA code of ethics says that a doctor should not treat a family member if there are other qualified medical personnel available.
