Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Monday, March 03, 2025

It's about 20 minutes long in total. The first 15 minutes breaks it down by starting from the beginning and analyzing key points of the discussion prior to when things got testy. The last 5 minutes go into events that happened earlier that day.

Very interested in hearing Yav's opinion on this. I know Yav watched the whole thing and came away with a very strongly opinionated reaction, which is why I'm singling Yav out - I think he may be only one in a small number on this site who would be willing to take the time to watch the video and offer opinions.

Bellringer.
I have seen it 4 times.
I do not need anyone telling me what I saw.
I certainly do not need that worthless right-wing nutjob, Megyn Kelly's "opinion." Good lord.
At least she's not Steve Bannon or Stephen Miller, or that right-wing nazi wannabe instigator, JD Vance, or Nazi supporter fElon Musk.

No, not interested in indulging the right-wing rationalization.
What happened is crystal clear.

The only reason I found it disappointing is because I was hoping he'd take the time to give it a fair listen. But, I get it. He watched the real deal more than once. The reason I thought this might be good for Uav to watch is because I also watched the Trump Zelenskyy show in its entirety and when I read Yav's comments it seems like he and I watched two completely different events.

Zelenskyy handled that farce about as well as any human being with an ounce of pride could.

Zelenskyy will very probably be remembered as a great man.

Even if Putin succeeds in murdering him and his family, as he has tried more than once.

Zelenskyy's biggest mistake was expecting anything from Trump.

Trump is Putin's hand puppet.

What I believe I saw:

I watched this unfold real-time.
I didn't read/hear anything from anyone else about what happened.
i was infuriated Vance was a total ------. It was embarassing. It was shameful.
Trump spun himself up, and became totally irrational.
Zelenskyy - you could watch him processing everything as best he could, given the oddity of the English grammar and terms being used, and the accusations being hurled at him from 3 different directions. Including the "suit guy" moron.

From the posting it seemed to me that Bellringer didn't see it live, and then didn't watch it until after he'd read/watched right-wing coverage of it.
Bellringer then watched the event with all the preconditioning needed to interpret it as the MAGAverse wanted.

I absolutely could be wrong about that, but to me, based on the original thread, that seems to be the way it unfolded with Bellringer.

That is why I won't play this game. It's not a game. It's not a "gotcha." These are people's lives and I am ashamed that my country would exploit someone so vulnerable to the point of even trying to seize their resources while demanding they be thankful. Not just thankful, but really, really thankful to Trump himself.

I didn't read/hear anything from anyone else about what happened.

But you already have a bad opinion of Trump and Vance, IOW so what.

You know how you know you've been propagandized? You didn't say anything about how Zelensky was behaving.

See most none propagandized people, like myself, can see Trump was being a little bit agressive/assertive. But we can also see Trump at the beginning being graceful, and not arguing every point Zelenskiy made. Zelensky numerous times argued with the President (euro funding more than the US) ... So what, this is friends right, do these details really matter at that moment? NO it was fo sho. Zelensky, Trump and Vance went down hill after that.

You're a sycophant LyinYav, you can't even trust your eyes.

But I appreciate Yav for trying but I am tired of arguing with complete idiots.

Is this a reference to Trump's first term, when Trump became President, after Russia already seized Crimea, and then started to actively undermine Zelensky?

Or are you saying Trump inherited the remains of his inheritance from Biden, which Biden in turn inherited from Trump's first term?

No. It was supposed to be a signing ceremony for a mutually agreed upon minerals deal. Senator Murphy and other Dem senators got into Zelenskyy's ear just prior to this (he bragged about it on X). Zelensky needled Trump 4-5 times before things went south, and keep in mind that Trump let it all slide until Zelenskyy started talking about how America is going to feel ... No, it wasn't planned. Trump seemed a bit surprised by how Zelenskyy handled himself.

The only commentary I saw prior to watching it on YouTube was a Scott Jennings at a CNN roundtable.

The video I linked is one I came across last night well after I'd been done watching it.

Here's the thing. Zelenskyy was snippy on a handful occasions and Trump let it slide.

Trump wanted to on a coupe of occasions yet clearly bit his tongue. By does anyone think Zelenskyy should be able to walk into the WH, get snippy with his hosts with impunity and his hosts are expected to just smile and take it and when they do finally push baok they were behaving terribly. POSTED BY BELLRINGER

It was obviously planned. Every meeting with every foreign leader is always a planned event. These events are usually carefully controlled coordinated choreographed.

And what is shown to world is not what happens behind closed doors.

This was a planned ambush to be publicly aired to the world and to his main audience of one was Vladimir Putin.

He even made sure that a Russian reporter was there to get that message directly to Putin.

Time to grow up little DingDong.

Meanwhile GFY.

J.D. Vance lied straight to the cameras and Z's face, suggesting Z has refused to offer gratitude and appreciation. It was the first things to come out of Z's mouth at the sit down. Then Vance opens' his fat trap to drop a lie that set up Trump's follow-up. This was completely planned, Z recognized it and refused to play along. Vance opened the conversation with a completely false premise on purpose.

Now Trump is demanding mineral rights, an apology, and even MORE gratitude (and it has to be "at the right level" at that). What a petulant child. And now MAGAts in congress are demanding Z's resignation to bring peace?

Ooh oh oh! But not Putin's resignation! Nothing about Putin bringing peace by backing off Ukraine. NOTHING of the sort.

With tears in his eyes he said 'Mr. President, sir, thank you so much for all of your support and money trying to save my country. Thank you from the bottom of my heart...' Honestly, I don't think he has a heart [chuckle]. If he does it has to be the darkest bleck anyone has ever seeeeeeen. We have SIGNED the mineral rights deal, that will bring billions and billions of dollars back to the US, a full return on our initial investment. Worth repeating. Because it's true. It was obviously rehearsed. Just like they do in WWE.

And so of course maga maroons think it was real.

Maga maroons live in a fantasyland where they still believe WWE is a real sport and not a rehearsed Show.

The big tell was Shady JDs rehearsed line did not align with reality. If only that wasn't the first thing Zelensky had said that day they may have completely gotten away with it. Because it would be easy to ignore all the other times Zelensky has thanked Americans. Maga maroons have very poor and easily manipulated memories.
