The country's bitterly tribal politics are spilling into text chains, social media posts and heated conversations as Americans absorb the reality of cost-cutting measures directed by President Donald Trump and carried out by billionaire Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency. Expecting sympathy, some axed workers are finding family and friends who instead are steadfast in their support of what they see as a bloated government's waste.

"I've been treated as a public enemy by the government and now it's bleeding into my own family," says 24-year-old Luke Tobin, who was fired last month from his job as a technician with the U.S. Forest Service in Idaho's Nez Perce National Forest.

Never underestimate the power of simple, but powerful, jealousy when it comes to things like this.

Millions of Republicans think their enemies should be sent to camps.

So what's happening here is easily explained.

Fed Workers have risen to the top of the Republican Enemies List.

This is a peek into the MAGAt mindset.

It tells you this: MAGAts ARE READY TO SEE HARM DONE TO OUR their own FAMILY MEMBERS IN ORDER TO REMAIN TRUE TO OUR IDEOLOGY.

A wise man said "If they are ready to cheer the pain and misery of family members, then they are more than ready to kill and maim non-family members who are outside of their cult."

Ask BOAZ... But if he says he wants to show you something 'out back', don't go.

Perhaps the last time Americans experienced such internal animus towards each other was 1860. Back then, racial superiority was the divider, taught in schools and churches and handed down generationally as the norm. John Brown and abolitionists fought against the injustice of slavery before the Civil War which tore families apart. Other countries experienced Civil Wars (Russia, England, post-WWI Europe, Ireland), but only the US Civil War was over race. South Africa escaped apartheid without a race war. Years of rightwing radio, Fox News, and manipulative religious leaders have brought the same level of hatred back to America, led by Trumpf. So, today's MAGA mentality is tearing families apart, creating dysfunction where it shouldn't be, perhaps like it was in 1860.

Dead Milkmen - Instant Club Hit (You'll Dance to Anything) (1987)
www.youtube.com

Lyrics excerpt ...

genius.com

...
You'll dance to anything

(You'll dance to anything
You'll dance to anything
You'll dance to anything)

Oh, baby, look at you
Don't you look like Siouxsie Sioux
How long'd it take to get that way
What a terrible waste of energy
You wear black clothes say you're poetic
The sad truth is you're just pathetic
Get into the groove just get out of my way
I came here to drink not to--------
So why don't you just go on home
Cause if you want to moan you'll have to moan alone

You'll dance to anything
You'll dance to anything
...

A tune I heard only on the area college radio station.

I'm about 50/50 that my job, and hundreds of others out here in Germany, will soon be terminated. I'm not thrilled, but my plan has always been to wrap it up and move to Albania. I'm just one-step closer to that goal.

It will suck for my two daughters, whom I currently support. They're going to have to find a way to pay their own rent and car payments. And if there is a validated requirement for any job cuts, they're just going to be hired back. Trump's experiment may pay off, but if it doesn't, his prospects for the next four years are pretty dim. The markets are down, the dollar is down. GDP growth was forecast to be 3.9%. Now it's -1.5%

Consider this a metric for the popularity of the potential brother vs brother, cousin-wife against Meemaw and Pappaw civil war BOAZ has been wet for, for years.

EBERLE will say he's sure it wont be 'that big' a civil war, and probably would be what America needs to be great again. And besides, he's rich so kick-rocks, you savages.

This is truly an amazing feat. The Republicans and ------- have accomplished making half of the country despise government workers.

These government workers mind you do OUR business. They are, for the most part, educated and trained middle class Americans who implement the collective will of our nation as embodied by the laws pass by Congress.

These are veterans and doctors and scientists doing cutting-edge research to cure real diseases, they are park rangers making sure our national parks are safe and clean, they are law enforcement chasing serial killers, terrorists and cartel gang members, they are accountants who review tax records to catch tax cheats, they are auditors who ensure our nation's money is spent properly, they are clerks who process payments to medicaid and medicare and SS, these are trained professionals who secure air and rail and auto travel.

These are people who have dedicated their lives to public service.

How these people became the enemy is a real and true tragedy.

So, these magat scum, who are literally the worst people in the world, are decimating the expertise and institutional knowledge that makes our government function.

Here is something magat scum do not understand. Government should NOT work like a business. It's goals are nearly the opposite that of a business. Where a business' goal is to maximize profits, the government's job is to enforce our collective will and to protect our rights.

To make those people who do OUR business, what WE call them to do, what THEY do as an honorable service to their fellow countrymen and women the enemy is simply despicable.

Short-sighted people fail to understand that the long term effect of those efforts will destroy the fabric of society. No system can survive the trauma that is being inflicted. Replacing competence with incompetence, experience with dogma, passion to serve with passion to break is a recipe for disaster.

These people being hated, and fired or forced out serve US. They provide US with the benefits of our government. You get rid of them WE ALL lose out.

When will magat scum realize that THEY are being hurt.

I can't get passed what Musk achieved back in December.

To remind you, Congress passed a CR that funded pediatric cancer research and 3 other actions-allowing pediatric cancer patients to travel across state lines and still receive benefits, to participate in multiple drug trials and incentives to drug manufacturers to do research into pediatric cancer drugs.

But Musk comes along and, in a literal tweet, gets Congress to stop funding the latter 3.

I cannot fathom how this would not devastate the effected families. If my child was caught up in this vile action, I don't know what I would do.

All over pennies, literal pennies of the federal budget.

Do magat scum not have children who develop cancer?

I mean I get the USAID thing; Americans are simply too stupid and immoral to understand the devastating impacts of cutting off USAID. They simply do not care about the 10s of thousands or 100s of thousands or millions that will die, again for literal pennies.

But this is their own children.

I don't get it.

I would do ANYTHING to save my sick child.

Helping sick children should be WHY societies form.

I don't get it, never have, never will.

"The people who puzzle me the most, are the MAGA fanatics who have been fired and still say they support Musk/Trump."

I support it, at least conceptually, and there is a very good chance that my job will soon be gone.

We had GS employees during COVID who came to work one day a week but got paid for a full week. That is a waste of taxpayer dollars. Especially in Germany, where the government basically has to re-create all the service organizations one would have access to in the US.

My concern is that the government is going to fire a bunch of people, realize they need them, and either not have access to them or spend a -------- of money to get them back. This has happened before periodically, but never on this scale.

And BTW, if you've read the OPM memos regarding cuts, they are very reasonable. Like directing USGOV agencies to seek other operating locations outside of the NCR. That makes a ton of sense. It also directs that the VA, Medicare, and SS not terminate anyone or anything if it will have an effect on the provision of services.

I don't think it's being implemented like that, but that was the official guidance.

It's amazing how wrong you are as often as you are.

I voted for him because he was preferable to Trump. I was explicit about that both times. I also said his age would be a predictable problem in 2024, which played into why I thought Harris was a bad choice because whoever was VP was likely to be pushed forward for the nomination.

And I didn't "actively defend" a thing. I said he was exactly what I thought a man his age would be. You, meanwhile, pushed every dishonest instance the GOP produced to hypocritically harp on it like a good little boy.

So maybe you should take your own advice, junior.

#23 | Posted by BellRinger

It is a simple fact, you lying piece of ----.

pcrf-kids.org

The U.S. Congress narrowly avoided a government shutdown last week with the passing of a new spending package on Saturday, December 21. Approval of the package, however, came at the expense of the pediatric cancer community. Members of the community were devastated to learn that several provisions designed to help develop more effective, less toxic therapies and improve treatment accessibility had been suddenly excised from the package without warning or explanation.

Originally, the spending package included the following:

the Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act 2.0., which would have extended the National Institutes of Health's Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Program,
the Accelerating Kids to Research Act, which would have made it easier for children from low-income families on Medicaid to receive specialized cancer treatment across state lines
the Creating Hope Reauthorization Act, which would have extended a program incentivizing pediatric drug development that has already resulted in the development of 65 new medications
the Give Kids a Chance Act, which would have allowed children with relapsed cancers to undergo treatments combining cancer drugs with other therapies

I realize this is a wasted effort, but maybe YOU could try posting some reputable link that contradicts this.
But you won't because you can't because you are truly a despicable, vile, reprehensible piece of human filth

You will, of course, ignore these FACTS and continue lying. Because that is who you are.

You have been informed, you have been educated. Be a better person.
