The Democratic mayor of Newark, New Jersey, who is running to be the state's governor, was arrested on Friday after refusing to leave a federal immigration detention center, the top federal prosecutor in New Jersey said in a statement posted on X.

And yet according to people who were there, who I trust much more than the moron parking lot lawyer Habba, Dotard's idiotic choice for the NJ USA, and based on video of the event, HE DID NOT BREAK THE LAW. He can legally be on their property to ask to inspect the premises. He was asked to leave, and he did. THEY ARRESTED HIM ON PUBLIC PROPERTY OUTSIDE THE FACILITY. Those officers, ICE Barbie, and Habba will all be named in the lawsuit, and will all be found to have violated his constitutional rights, and by lying about him and the incident, Habba has also slandered him. He's going to get rich from this.

Members of Congress are permitted *by law* to go into ICE facilities and make sure they're up to par. We came to see if the rights of the 100+ detainees were being upheld.
This is laid out clearly on ICE's own website. What happened today, from the manhandling of me and my colleagues to the arrest of the mayor, should never have occurred.
