Trump Confronts South Africa's Leader with False Claims of White Genocide

In a moment that rivaled the Trump-Zelensky meeting, the South African leader Cyril Ramaphosa met at the White House with Trump who showed Ramaphosa a video and print outs to prove that White genocide is happening in South Africa. Ramaphosa pushed back on Trump's claims but expressed his willingness to have an in-depth conversation with Trump about the claims.

South Africa has allowed crime to fester and proliferate against certain races and innocent people just as Democrat DAs in LA, Chicago,NYC and other urban areas allow crime.

The perps and people who perpetuate and participate in violent crime and felons illegally carrying firearms need incarcerated forever. Take them off the streets. But Democrats always want the criminal trash on the streets just as certain factions do in South Africa. Criminals need removed forever.

Do I believe that white farmers whose families unfairly benefits from apartheid for generations now feel conditions have worsened for them in South Africa? Yes just like it probably really sucked for US slave owners after the Civil War.
Do I believe they are victims of Genocide? Not a chance.

Here are facts: South African police recorded 26,232 murders nationwide in 2024, of which 44 were linked to farming communities. Of those, eight of the victims were farmers.
Don't believe the SA police? How about the Afrikaner farmers' union? They have counted 1,363 white farmers murdered since 1990, or an average of 40 a year - far less than 1% of total murders.
Claims about SA seizing land from white farmers is also a lie. Three-quarters of privately-owned farmland is held by whites, who make up less than 8% of the population. 4% is owned by Black South Africans who make up 80% of the population.
That photo that Trump showed of body bags and claiming they were murdered white farmers...that was a lie. That photo wasn't even from South Africa. It was taken from video footage after a battle in the Democratic Republic of Congo between the countries military and Rwandan backed rebels.

My comment upon first reading of this thread ...

The archive.is site so often cited, seems to have security issues.

My browser refuses to load it, and that is before the browser hands the site URL off to the security software I have installed. The browser seems to have an issue with it.

So, imo, archive.is, and links to it, are suspicious.

There is no way I would want to bypass the security of my browser to view that site.

What's to debunk? The case to which you refer concerns the murder of 2 farmers in 1989 during the course of a violent robbery and I have no cause to believe that the facts as presented are inaccurate. I cannot say the same for Trump's comments.

I would point out that the allegation of genocide, requiring as it does the deliberate and systematic elimination of a specific group of people, is in no way supported by citing a robbery gone wrong.

Out of curiosity I looked at another of the links you posted, which took me to a page of graphic images of injured people, with absolutely no context. Trying to see if I could link it in anyway to South Africa, I followed another link which took me to a 4Chan page of women with extremely large breasts. Having extensively studied this page, I could find no link to South Africa.

That is some powerful evidence you are posting.

That's not even close. It's many miles away. There are 5 countries between DRC and SA.

Trump is an blisteringly stupid liar and/or idiot and an embarrassment. There is no white farmer genocide going on in SA. Hell, I was there last year as a white guy and I travelled all over and had a wonderful time. Yes, there is crime. There's been a huge influx of people from other nations in Africa because of the instability and insanity of war and dictators.

South Africa is very corrupt these days. What with 60% of the land held by white folks and the government ran by black folks that could care less as long as they got 'theirs'. Yes, many farmers are killed but the vast majority of them are black folks not white Afrikaners. Maybe those white folks should have treated the black people better over the decades instead of forcing apartheid upon them? Naw, just blame those that rise up and treat you the same way you treated them. The place is a mess from what my international journalist buddy tells me when he went there to do work on Rhino poachers and those that fight back against them.
