Laura,
"Who cares why she was called piggy. The POTUS isn't supposed to be calling anyone names."
I never said I agreed with it.
Yeah, it's not standard protocol.
But if a grown adult can't handle a blunt comment from the person in charge, they're in the wrong line of work. Power doesn't slow down for delicate feelings, and the people who hold it know that.
After decades dealing with owners and executives, I saw one thing.
Thin skinned people get chewed up.
Not because anyone is cruel but because that's how the top of the food chain operates.
Some of you liberals sound shocked every time a politician acts like anything other than a guidance counselor.
It comes from living a life so cushioned that normal, everyday bluntness feels like an attack.
I've worked with a handful of decent bosses. The rest? Demanding and absolutely uninterested in your emotional comfort.
That's the real world.
Trump doesn't pull his punches.

Your lack of self awareness is something to behold
"a grown adult can't handle a blunt comment " like a president that can't handle a reasonable question without reacting like a child?
"they're in the wrong line of work." President Piggy certainly is as he doesn't understand the basics of the job
"Power doesn't slow down for delicate feelings, and the people who hold it know that." Delicate feelings? Like being insulted because he was asked a question? Hint people who are actually powerful, you know, confident, do not act like children throwing a temper tantrum
"Thin skinned people get chewed up." President Piggy is the thinnest skinned person in modern history, possibly in centuries
"Not because anyone is cruel but because that's how the top of the food chain operates." Perhaps you could quote any president in American history who called a female reporter a "piggy" for asking a question (or something as equally as childish) I'll wait
"Some of you liberals sound shocked every time a politician acts like anything other than a guidance counselor." Only the soulless would not be offended by that sort of behavior from a leader, let alone the POTUS
As an aside, should the president NOT have to answer to the country for his actions and statements? I mean is it his right of office to not be answerable?
"Trump doesn't pull his punches." Trump's baby hands can't reach the end of his shirt sleeves let alone hit someone.
Honest question, do you think calling a female reporter denotes strength?
