President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he wants to cut off all United States trade with Spain after the country refused to open its bases to the American military amid the ongoing Iran conflict.

Too bad, there's a lot to learn from Spain which has an excellent pension system for retirees, universal healthcare unlike the US, a growing population thanks to immigration, as well as delicious produce, wine, and cuisine.

Who knows? Perhaps because the UK denied our using UK-US joint base in Diego Garcia, which is only a few hours away from Iran.

BTW, I was there for a USO show when there were only 100 US Navy SeaBees, a runway, and tin huts. It was like stepping back in time to WWII Pacific locales. Incredibly, one of them was a guy who grew up 4 houses from me. Made that Christmas Day especially memorable.
