Kamala Harris just gave the Democratic Party the most explicit sign yet she'll run for president in 2028:

  • "Listen, I might, I might. I'm thinking about it," Harris told the Rev. Al Sharpton at the National Action Network convention on Friday, when he asked her whether she will run again in 2028. "I'll keep you posted," she said as she walked off the stage.
Not the best way to get those disgruntled 6,265,888 supporters back

Former VPOTUS Kamala Harris was received with the most enthusiasm from the audience attending the National Action Network compared to any of the Democrats who spoke earlier this week, including Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA).

At one point, the crowd in the packed ballroom repeatedly chanted, "Run again! Run again!"

Later, the cheers for Harris grew to such a tenor, Sharpton jokingly admonished the crowd: "This is a convention, not a revival."

So the Dems want to hand the election to the Repubs on a silver platter, I guess.

Still banking on "not Trump" as the winning "strategy"...

    They Never Learn.

Just find a new Candidate. Reruns of losers is a losing strategy.

It must still be "Her Turn".

    Hi JPW:

What you wrote was basically the strategy of Zohran Mamdani's challengers in the 2025 race for NYC Mayor (in which he received the most number of eligible votes in a mayoral race since the early 1970s):

    "I'm Not the Muslim."

NYC is home to the most Jews outside Israel and the most Muslims in the US, and yet this young man beat Andrew Cuomo by almost 10%.

The 2028 DNC convention should be as large as a tent possible, including Arabs, Muslims, and antiwar Samaritans.

In 2024, gunshot victims took the stage on Day Three in Chicago.

In 2028, military veterans should take the stage on Day Three to argue against the "Forever Wars," the way Ron Kovic did in Madison Square Garden in 1976.

If I had my drothers, I would pick two retired apolitical four-star Generals or Admirals to be the 2028 POTUS and VPOTUS candidates with this simple platform and un-a** what Dummkopf Trumpf did to us:

  • On 20 Jan 2029 by Executive Order, immediately dismantle DHS and ICE (and purge the records they collected without a warrant).

  • Stop funding Israel.

  • Re-hire all military, FBI, USIC, and USAID personnel that lost their careers because of Dummkopf Trumpf (and waive the retirement age)

  • Implement the necessary legislation to finally establish universal healthcare, as enjoyed by the residents of Germany, Israel, Greenland, Canada, Taiwan, and tiny Albania.

"A staggering 19 million people who voted for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on Tuesday 3 Nov 2020 stayed home on Tuesday 5 Nov 2024, though the direct vote deficit for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz was roughly seven million in some estimates." (Source: The Nation, 10 April 2025)

The US antiwar movement is as old as the American Revolution itself. US midterm elections are scheduled for Tuesday 3 Nov 2026.

I think most agree that it would be a disaster, albeit for different reasons, if the Democrats nominated her again. As for running in the primary, that's fine. It would give a better candidate the chance to knock her out early and gain momentum.

    As I have stated ...

Democrat Elites don't care who does the electing, so long as they choose who gets nominated.

She could hardly do worse than the last primary!

I'm not really sure what your point is.

Mamdani had the pleasure of running against the disgraced ex-governor of NY. The people had had enough of him and they showed that at the polls.

You put up a has been like Harris AGAIN, and you'll get the same response AGAIN. People will stay home. If anything, Mamdani showed that people are tired of voting for Giant Douche or Turd Sandwich, which was already a lesson that should have been learned in 2024.

I don't think any woman can win, at least not as a Democrat.

I mean, I'd love to be wrong about that, but it would take an Obama level groundswell of public support, who proved me wrong that we'd never have a Black President.

Mamdani had the pleasure of running against the disgraced ex-governor of NY.

He also had the DNC and GOP and NYC billionaires all campaigning against him.

The DNC hates progressives. Their elite donors don't want to pay taxes.

Can you believe the president of Mexico is providing all Mexicans with universal healthcare.

In America we're still making excuse about why we can't afford it while our nation spends billions a day on war.

Both parties are controlled by the rich and we're treated as a burden to our nation.

The only woman I know who could win refuses to run.

    Michele Obama.

    What about a female?
