CSAMRUNT's child-raping idol is responsible for 30% of the nation's debt.

"In fact, Trump has accumulated as much debt since entering the White House as every president from George Washington through Bill Clinton combined."

Raise a glass of Red Mountain Wine to Old Senescent, the Republican Party, and anyone and everyone else who voted for, contributed to, enabled, and/or grifted with/because of their regime of utter incompetence and irresponsibility.

The national debt just hit $40 trillion, gas is $4 a gallon, personal bankruptcies are at an all-time high, mortgage rates are up, GDP growth is terrible, we are stuck in another endless Middle East conflict, but the Republican Party is focused on ballrooms and car races.

"a billion here a billion there and pretty soon you're talking real money"

This famous quip about government overspending is widely attributed to U.S. Senator Everett Dirksen of Illinois. However, no official written or audio record proves he actually said it, and Dirksen himself reportedly noted that he let a catchy reporter's misquote stand because it sounded so good.

Earlier Versions: Similar budget jokes appeared in print as early as 1938.

always got a kick out of that one....

Swampers moan about the $40 trillion debt they helped create: thedailybs.com

"Members of Congress bemoaned the $40 trillion national debt Thursday that they helped create.
Republicans and Democrats pointed fingers at each other after the debt surpassed $40 trillion. They all voted for legislation that contributed to the debt, including the One Big, Beautiful Bill (OBBB) and the Inflation Reduction Act.
Democratic Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly blamed President Donald Trump for raising the debt. During former President Joe Biden's administration, Kelly voted for the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan and the Inflation Reduction Act, which cost roughly $370 billion over 10 years."..............

Can Trump fix the national debt? Republican senators, many investors and even Elon Musk are skeptical (2025)
www.pbs.org

... President Donald Trump faces the challenge of convincing Republican senators, global investors, voters and even Elon Musk that he won't bury the federal government in debt with his multitrillion-dollar tax breaks package.

The response so far from financial markets has been skeptical as Trump seems unable to trim deficits as promised. ...

"All of this rhetoric about cutting trillions of dollars of spending has come to nothing " and the tax bill codifies that," said Michael Strain, director of economic policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute, a right-leaning think tank. "There is a level of concern about the competence of Congress and this administration and that makes adding a whole bunch of money to the deficit riskier."

The White House has viciously lashed out at anyone who has voiced concern about the debt snowballing under Trump, even though it did exactly that in his first term after his 2017 tax cuts.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt opened her briefing Thursday by saying she wanted "to debunk some false claims" about his tax cuts. ...

Council chair Stephen Miran told reporters that when the growth being forecast by the White House is coupled with expected revenues from tariffs, the expected budget deficits will fall. The tax cuts will increase the supply of money for investment, the supply of workers and the supply of domestically produced goods -- all of which, by Miran's logic, would cause faster growth without creating new inflationary pressures.

"I do want to assure everyone that the deficit is a very significant concern for this administration," Miran said.

White House budget director Russell Vought told reporters the idea that the bill is "in any way harmful to debt and deficits is fundamentally untrue." ...

Donald Trump Once Said He Would Eliminate America's $19 Trillion in Debt. The Total Is Now Approaching $50 Trillion. (July 2026)
finance.yahoo.com

... Trump promised to eliminate $19 trillion in national debt by 2024; instead it has nearly doubled to $39 trillion and is approaching $50 trillion. ...

In April 2016, Donald Trump told The Washington Post he could eliminate the nation's then-more-than-$19 trillion national debt "over a period of eight years."

Most economists called the claim implausible, noting it could require pulling more than $2 trillion a year out of a roughly $4 trillion annual budget.

Trump's argument rested on renegotiated trade deals, particularly with China, generating the growth needed to service the balance. Economists countered that a trade war would instead be crippling to the U.S. economy. ...

Let's see...

Every President that knew that the laws were wrong, the bills are too much, the debt keeps going up, VETOED.

Every Senate took a look at the House's bills and voted against them.

Thanks to the WH and the Senate, deficit spending is in the long ago past.

Surpluses for decades have paid down the National Debt and the People are better for it.

Or, did both parties just sign off on it.

Both parties have approved the National Debt.

Think it'll change in January when the House flips?

Debt won't go away until USans become willing to pay taxes. Until then, the US is basically living on an equity loan.

Guaranteed.

Once Dems gain control they won't be able to do anything because the debt is too great to allow Dems to move forward with any of their agenda. They will have to cut programs and raise taxes just to keep the country from defaulting. Ensuring they all get voted out next election.

Because once Dems gain control Tepublicans will suddenly remember how much debt we have (that they mostly created) and it will become the deciding factor in blocking every Dem social welfare program they can.

In order to save SS, taxes would need to be increased by 2.14%. Is that too much?

Can you imagine what an 18% VAT would provide in terms of tax revenue?

No cone talks about Jubilees anymore.

We need a Jubilee.

Ok. I need a Jubilee.

Doesn't the Bible explicitly say God commands the Year of Jubilee every 50 years as a holy time of canceled debts, freed slaves, and returned property??? (Leviticus 25,).

Do that Christians. And I'll warm your damn pews with my lilly white hairy monkey butt every damn Sunday from here on out!
