Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Wednesday, September 02, 2026

Marcus Coleman, the father of a California girl permanently disabled by an illegal immigrant, blasts sanctuary city policies at a Congressional hearing on Tuesday. Coleman's daughter, Dalilah, suffered a fractured skull, broken femur, and traumatic brain injury in the 2024 California crash after an 18-wheeler driven by an illegal immigrant crashed into the vehicle she was in. At a House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement hearing, Coleman told Democratic members of Congress that he "rejects their sympathy."

ICE is so incompetent it takes an "army" to do what two State Troopers could do?

Maybe ICE should take some training from Poncho, and his white sidekick who nobody remembers.

And who owns Trump killing the immigration bill? The lead negotiator (Langford, OK-R.) admitted it was a better bill than could be gotten under Trump.

Who owns that???

You complained a few days ago there weren't enough judges on the border for due process. Well, there would've been more judges on the border right now if Trump hadn't killed the immigration bill.

Who owns that???

#4 that bill was a POS and was DOA in the House. Fact is Biden's handlers brought in roughly 10 million illegal aliens, even going so far as to pay to have them flown in. Illegal border crossings have trickled to nearly a. Standstill through simple enforcement of existing laws.

The Democrat party IS the party of illegal aliens. They prioritize illegal aliens over US citizens. At best minimal vetting upon entry. At the state level they actively protect illegal aliens who commit violent criminal acts from ICE. Better to have them roaming their own streets and terrorizing their citizens than have them be deported. A flood of illegal aliens results in driving down wages, housing shortages, a strain on public services, a lack of assimilation, human sec and drug trafficking baked in the process of coming here illegally, a weakening of our law and civic structure. And Democrats want as much of it as they can possibly get and they make it clear every day.

I read the key provisions in the bill. It codified illegal immigration. The threshold for actual enforcement was set in the millions and then enforcement was only temporary. I don't give a rats ass what a stupid Republican has to say about it. The bill was garbage and was rightly relegated to the trash heap.

Also, you are deflecting big time. Fact is Biden's handlers brought in roughly 10 million illegal aliens and illegal entry is now nearly nil through the simple enforcement of existing laws. No new law needed to accomplish that.

A car accident?

This is news?

Roughly 16,800 police-reported car accidents happen every day in the United States.

Daily Accident Breakdown:

Total Crashes: About 16,800 per day (averaging roughly 700 crashes every hour).

Fatal Crashes: Around 100 to 103 fatal crashes occur daily.

Fatalities: About 107 to 112 people die from traffic crashes each day.

Injuries: Thousands of people suffer non-fatal injuries daily, with millions reported annually by agencies like the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

One has to wonder why BullBringer doesn't care about the rest of the people unfortunately caught up in a car accident.

Trump just said he "certainly wouldn't sign" an immigration bill his White House helped write (June 2018)
www.vox.com

... Trump might have torpedoed a bill that even immigration hardliners in his administration like Stephen Miller were trying to pass.

Members of President Trump's White House -- including immigration hardliners like Stephen Miller -- have been hard at work with Republicans in the House of Representatives on crafting a "compromise" immigration bill for the House to vote on next week.

Trump himself may just have torpedoed it. ...

The "more moderate" bill was explicitly designed to adhere to the "four pillars" that Trump mandated in January be a part of any immigration deal: money for the "wall" he wants to build on the US-Mexico border; elimination of the diversity visa lottery; curbing family-based immigration (which the Trump administration refers to as "chain migration"); and a way for the immigrants currently facing the loss of their protections under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program to apply for formal legal status in the US.

It also gives the Trump administration what it's been demanding more recently, as it's turned its attention to trying to reduce the number of asylum seekers (especially Central Americans, and especially families) coming into the US without papers: It drastically raises the bar for the initial screening that allows someone to stay in the US and pursue an asylum case; it allows the US to turn back any asylum seeker who's come through Mexico and tell them to seek asylum there instead; and it allows children to be detained indefinitely by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (which the Trump administration claims is the only alternative to separating them from their parents at the border).

As late as Wednesday, the White House was helping Republican leadership sell the deal to conservatives in the House.

Stephen Miller, the biggest immigration hardliner in Trump's White House, went to Capitol Hill on Wednesday to lobby one of the House's most influential conservative caucuses, the Republican Study Committee. ...

Talk to the corporations that hire them.

Why ? If the government is going to make it possible to just cross the border illegally and then (via asylum application/work auth) be able to legally work, why shouldn't corporations hire them?

Regardless of the validity of the asylum claim they can get work authorization before their appearance. On top of that even if denied asylum, the corporation after hiring doesn't have the legal authority to ask again about your work status. So the worker may continue working, though not legally, but as I have stated laws not being enforced is more important than laws on the books.

So when exactly is the corporation supposed to do something?

If you want it to end, start frog-marching the owners, and move up the ladder with each arrest. Seriously? Is your AI broke? Ask it that exact question and see what it says ... here let me help you..

"Federal courts have ruled thousands of times that ICE has broken or failed to follow three main areas of law. "

Me: "the laws ICE has broken":

AI:

Fourth Amendment (Warrantless Home Entries): American Progress reported that internal ICE memos and operations instructed or enabled agents to enter homes and conduct arrests using administrative warrants rather than judicial warrants signed by a judge, which violates Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable search and seizure.

Due Process and Agency Rules: Federal judges have rebuked ICE in thousands of rulings, finding that the agency frequently violates its own internal regulations, deprives detainees of due process, and holds individuals for unconstitutionally lengthy periods.

Racial and Ethnic Profiling: Critics and legal experts point to expanded enforcement criteria relying on general indicators (such as language spoken or accent) as pushing the limits of or violating equal protection and statutory limits on vehicle and pedestrian stops.

Accountability and Transparency Failures: Reports highlight agents operating without proper identification, badges, or body cameras, undercutting legal standards for transparency during public operations.

Would you like more "specifics"?

One is happy to be of help. But you could just ask your own AI.

The government's enabling of this doesn't stop there.

After this person establishes a job, then all these things happen........

someone rents him an apartment
someone issues him a drivers license
someone sells him a car
someone allows him to tag, title, and insure the car
someone sells him groceries
someone receives and accepts social security taxes, sales taxes, federal and state income taxes
someone educates his kids, accepts his dues/fees he pays for that
someone accepts his charitable donations

Yes, someone hires him but when you consider everybody has their hands in the illegal immigrant cookie jar, everyone else should STFU with their obvious hypocrisy.

The Biden administration's nearly 4.4 million total repatriations through early 2024 exceeded any single presidential term since George W. Bush's second term.
In the 12 months after Title 42 expulsions ended, the Biden administration removed or returned 775,000 unauthorized migrants and deported nationals to more than 170 countries.
For the first time since fiscal year (FY) 2010, returns outnumbered interior removals in FY 2023, with 289,000 enforcement returns.
The immigration court backlog stands at 3.7 million removal cases, while a bipartisan border bill that would have provided $19 billion for enforcement resources failed after former President Donald Trump opposed it.
Emphasis mine

Re 59

Dang.. Well that did not print out the way I expected.

So I will try again with the "specifics".

There are so many of them.

Federal courts have ruled thousands of times that ICE has broken or failed to follow three main areas of law:

1. The Fifth Amendment and Federal Immigration Statutes (Unlawful Mandatory Detention)A massive legal battle centers on ICE's policy of locking up undocumented immigrants indefinitely without a hearing.

The Violation: ICE has bypassed statutory requirements to grant bond hearings. In August 2026, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals became the eighth federal appeals court to rule that ICE's blanket mandatory detention policy violates both federal immigration law and the Due Process Clause of the Fifth Amendment.

The Ruling: Courts have repeatedly held that individuals who have lived in the country for years have a constitutional right to a bond hearing before an immigration judge, which ICE attempted to strip away.

2. The Fourth Amendment (Warrantless Entries & Roving Patrols)

The Violation: ICE authorized its agents to use administrative warrants (documents signed by ICE itself, not a neutral judge) to enter private residences.

The Ruling: Legal organizations like the Brennan Center maintain this violates the Fourth Amendment protection against unreasonable searches and seizures, which traditionally requires a judicial warrant to enter a home. Furthermore, federal judges have recently blocked ICE roving patrols in regions like Southern California, ruling that stopping people simply based on racial profile or appearance violates the Fourth Amendment.

3. Judicial Orders and Contempt of Court

The Violation: In over 4,400 rulings, federal judges have ordered ICE to release specific individuals who were jailed illegally or to stop certain enforcement tactics.

The Ruling: Federal judges in jurisdictions like Minnesota and California have formally rebuked ICE for outright defying judicial authority"ignoring valid court orders to release detainees or transferring them away before a judge's order could take effect.

Since you know it's a garbage bill, why can't you tell us what YOU know that James Langford (R-OK) doesn't?

ignoring valid court orders to release detainees
#62 | Posted by donnerboy

That's just liberal judges doing their activism and legislating from the bench, and ICE is right to ignore those orders.

Also, the fact that ICE is routinely violating the law is completely separate from the "allegations" of these deportees.

It's completely unfair to judge ICE as untrustworthy and deceitful as an organization, just because of a mere 4,400 rulings that ICE is detaining people illegally.

" I don't sell any insurance to them."

But everybody knows they're there, right?

And you're in a Republican county, with a Republican sheriff, and a Republican-led Chamber of Commerce, right?

"Fact is Biden's handlers brought in roughly 10 million illegal aliens"

They were brought in, but weren't given legal status...

Who brought them in, specifically?
What was the name of this program?
You're just making it up, right?

#73 | Posted by snoofy at 2026-09-02 03:15 PM | Reply

No new law needed to accomplish that.

There's about 150 Executive Orders that you're ignoring because of who issued them.

#10 | Posted by BellRinger

Many laws needed to be broken to accomplish that. "In over 4,400 rulings, federal judges have ordered ICE to release specific individuals who were jailed illegally"

You don't care.

You're just here in hopes Eberly notices you.

"they wouldn't happen without folks illegally hiring."

I didn't see from this story (for those of you who forgot this is about a little girl who is paralyzed from an auto accident) if this driver was driving his own truck, working for an employer?

But did he have a legal drivers license? We know this was in California.

Are we going to deflect to other places and pretend it happened elsewhere?

#76 | Posted by eberly at 2026-09-02 03:25 PM | Reply

Are you pretending those other actions don't occur with regards to who takes advantage of illegals?
#67 | Posted by eberly

Do sanctuary cities protect people without papers so they can safely report it to the police when criminals are taking advantage of them?

Does getting rid of sanctuary cities mean people without papers get sent to the camps for reporting a crime, which significantly helps criminals exploit people without papers?

" Where are your numbers for illegals at the end of Trump 1.0?"

Why are you so fixated on that. The numbers, especially at the beginning of the 1st term were quite high. 2nd term they are extremely low, nearly historic low.

Again, the Democrat party is the party of illegal immigration. Sad but true.

It's where the math STARTS, dumfuq.

"The numbers, especially at the beginning the the 1st term were quite high."

I'm not asking about the beginning of 1.0, I'm asking (for the fourth time) about the END of 1.0

Are you stupid, or gaslighting?

"...the Democrat party is the party of illegal immigration."

Donald Trump blew up the immigration bill, which would've had more judges at the border by now...something you were bitching about within the last few days.

Sad but true.

"I didn't see from this story"

I'm talking about the conclusion of the folks who deal with this all the time: the central problem is the hirers who give them jobs.

No job? No migration.

It take folks looking the other way...on purpose...for this to happen.

www.freightwaves.com

This a long and hard to understand article written by an expert on freight, compliance, and how freight moves in this country and his take on what Lankford's bill does and doesn't do.

It's hard to understand unless you have a high level of understanding of how our government regulates over the road trucking.

BullBringer's Troll thread #2 is working much better than his Troll thread #1.

Bravo, you may still win Eberly's coveted "most responded to" award.

Hundreds of Americans die from gun violence and car accident accidents. But this one girl, she means more than all the rest of them. Because her car accident can be used to attack immigrants.

Huzzah!

"the Democrat party is the party of illegal immigration."

The Republican Party is the party of sending innocent people to camps for indefinite detention for the paperwork crime of not having their papers in order.

Which of those do you think is the lesser evil?

#85 | Posted by snoofy at 2026-09-02 03:42 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

-No job? No migration.

same goes with all the things I listed which you pretend have no relevance.

But to any thinking person....they do.

and where are we establishing that fact? right here on a thread where it doesn't even matter to you if this guy even had an employer. You're making it all about a party.

Everything I'm reading is blaming it all on the State of California for issuing him a CDL.

What I posted in 82 doesn't do that......it's a much more complex problem with regards to that specific issue.

Yes, employers are guilty as hell and complicit in this problem.

We aren't going to get any closer to solving this issue until 1 thing happens........

When both sides stop pointing the finger at the other side when everyone has their fingerprints on this crime scene.

Actually, it's more than that......all the right leaning sources all are very quick to blame the State of California and other Blue States for issuing drivers licenses to these folks....as if Red states don't do it as well.

Willing to bet Republicans hire illegal immigrants at higher rates than Democrats do.

Just ask the ranchers and farmers who can't tend to their fields and livestock any longer because they don't have any employees anymore.

a half truth

Is it?

What's the other half?

Why is this accident worse, or worthy of more consideration, than any other accident?

What factors - other than the immigration status of the driver - am I not considering.

I mean. If he was illiterate or had bad eyesight and got a license. Then you're correct. There's more to the story. Why would a person who can't read or see be allowed to drive?

Though, now that I think of it, I'm sure there are a lot of Americans who are illiterate or semi literate who have a valid drivers license.

#103 | Posted by ClownShack at 2026-09-02 04:21 PM | Reply

everyone thinks past immigration was essential but today??? Oh no...we can't have them.

The truth is we've been bickering over this since for 200 years.

Literally the same argument.

The other half is that the republicans are guilty as hell of enabling this situation. That is...if we are going to call the current situation actually bad.

It's all politics. The number of illegals doesn't bother me nor where they work, nor the social services and government services they consume. they pay taxes and serve a purpose.

-Though, now that I think of it, I'm sure there are a lot of Americans who are illiterate or semi literate who have a valid drivers license.

That shouldn't concern you as much as the fact we have people with 5+ DUIs with drivers licenses.....

I agree with your # 105.

I don't see things getting fixed anytime soon.

It's a strong wedge issue Republicans use to stir up their base.

"Mexico is sending 10 million criminals and rapists" really helps get scared people into voting booths.

What happened to that crisis that was plaguing our southern border during the Biden administration? Trump simply getting elected seems to have magically ended it.

People are actually dumb enough to believe that.

While you've chosen to ignore the fact the job is the central draw. Again ... If somebody doesn't come here for a job, they're not going to need housing, or transportation, or food.

All the issues you mentioned are important ... But they all stem from the central idea of a job.
