In a first-of-its-kind mandatory report to Congress, the [Defense Department's inspector general] said that between Feb. 28 and June 30, Operation Epic Fury (OEF) had an estimated cost of $33.4 billion, with $22.3 billion of that spent on munitions alone. "The munitions expenditure on OEF has resulted in strategic inventory shortfalls and revealed industrial base bottlenecks for munitions resupply," the report states.

The munitions problems are a long term problem no one President or Congress , or General wanted to address.

US can't manufacture arms, though it spends an enormous amount on "defense".
1. 600 Patriot missiles per year
2. 90 to 100 tomahawk missiles a year.
3. 430,000 artillery shells a year. - 3.4 million per year for Russia.

During World War II I would imagine we were running low on munitions, weapons, etc........did we announce to Germany and Japan we were running low?

We ramped up production of a lot of stuff during that short time and it wasn't likely a secret.

But specifically, what were low on.....did we announce that to our enemies?

Is it possible we may have deliberately misinformed our enemies of our supplies?

No, you just have a MAGA understanding of the world with MAGA's outsized appreciation of how insightful the very basic knowledge they have is.

While you're simping for Trump trying to make it out to be a bothsiderism, you neglect to account for other POTUSes didn't burn through large proportions of munitions in a short time over a war that doesn't have a well thought out objective or goal.

We're all so tuned into munition use now, we all saw the AGM-190A "validated in combat" announcement.

For that to happen, the USAF Special Operations Command is on the ground somewhere, shooting it at somebody.

I wonder where that could be happening...

The Biden-Harris Administration has released the President's Budget for Fiscal Year 2025. It requests USD850 billion for the Department of Defense, a USD34 billion increase from the 2023 enacted level. Within this portion of the budget, the U.S. Army is requesting USD447 million to counter small unmanned aerial systems (UAS), according to various defence media outlets. This funding would include the mobile and fixed-site low, slow, small UAS integrated defeat system, better known by its acronym of LIDS, which is designed to detect, track and take down small enemy drones.
