It's weird that we take the day to honor the hero's and those who died on 9/11. But we go on in silence at acknowledging how successful that attack actually was at turning the US into a nation of paranoid -------. ..even 25 years later.

Republicans are more socialist than most Democrats. Republicans are in favor of, and actually implemented, public ownership of private businesses (Intel, Westinghouse, US Steel). Obama took stakes in companies during the financial crisis, but then EXITED those stakes (moved away from socialism). Trump has absolutely no plans to exit the public ownership of private companies. And has been adding more and more over time.

I don't think governing Republicans, and especially Trump, see that a socialist. I think they see that as adding assets to their own portfolios, even if by force. I don't believe they have any intention of sharing any gains from these stakes with the American people.

I have no objection to teaching elementary school kids how to use tools and perform basic skills with said tools. Everyone should learn this early. I don't think elementary age kids should be locked into a career path yet.

No. Unfortunately, we're ALL reaping what YOU sow.

Even though I live in a very red rural area, I'm so happy that our local electric cooperative had the foresight to run fiber to most of its members. I don't pay the extra $20 for gigabit service because more than 400 Mb, both up and down is much more than adequate. But we've had Gigabit service, and even 10 Gb available since well before Trump or Starlink, and even before most big cities.

Trump is deliberately weakening the US on many levels. That his zombie followers can't see this is simply baffling.

Moderate Democrats are largely also crony capitalists. Much like old school Republicans. They're just not as bigoted, cold, calculating and corrupt as MAGA Republicans.

I find it very likely that Trumps ego has always wanted to use a nuke somewhere.. Plus the added bonus that he gets to declare Martial Law and suspend elections, and governance by anyone but himself.

If this happens, it significantly increases the chances that Putin would do the same on Ukraine.

From there... well I'll leave the rest to your imagination. But it would be the end of the world as we know it.
