I would advise to start leveraging existing connections or building new ones to move up the ladder. A cabinet position. Backing for a Senate run (she's apparently already doing that).

Harris was an experienced lawyer (DA), California AG, California senator and VP and she STILL wasn't able to ride the anti-Trump wave to the White House. Why would AOC with even less on her resume?

I've been relatively resilient to the rises in grocery prices up until this point but some of the new prices I'm seeing have me experiencing sticker shock now.

Garlic was $6.99/lb. I feel like it was only $4.99/lb a few weeks ago when I bought it last.

Bell peppers are now $1.49 for green and $1.99 for red/orange/yellow. Used to be $0.89 for green and $1.39 for red/orange/yellow.

Celery at Aldi used to be $2.49 per bunch, this time it was $2.99 per bunch but was smaller, bright green, hard and immature. Lower quality product for more money.

A quart of milk was $3.29.

Makes me thankful we have two freezers full of protein, so we've only been buying produce lately. I don't even want to see the prices of chicken and pork. I've stopped looking at beef.

The greatest myth is that CEOs or even bithnithmen broadly are in some way smart or competent.

In my experience, they tend to be ruthless self-promoters, shameless glory hounds and exquisite opportunists.

The overwhelming conclusion of my time in private sector after I left academia is that anyone who blathers on that business does it best are full of s*&^. Private business has been the only place in my experience where missing your goal then redefining the metrics or the goal itself is still met with accolades (at a certain level, of course, not for the underlings doing the actual work).
