Huge Crowds at 'No Kings' Protests Across U.S.

Hundreds of thousands of protesters are hitting the streets across the U.S. Saturday in "No Kings" demonstrations against Donald Trump and his authoritarian attacks on democracy, freedom and the rule of law. Protests are planned at 2,000 different locations. One in Philadelphia expected a crowd of 100,000.

WASHINGTON: Donald J. Trump's long-wished-for military parade was abruptly canceled on Saturday after it emerged that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had inadvertently invited the Houthi rebels.

Honestly, all I know is that in my fairly small town the No Kings protest was a huge success. At 2500 people protesting, waving flags and signs, and each and every one of them despising Trump. And, to be frank, there really may have been as many as 5000 people. One quarter mile stretch of road lined on all sides by protesters took me 45 minutes to get through. On any other vines day it takes less than thirty seconds.

IMO, a truly great day for America.

I just think it's awesome that liberals finally created a protest that both sides agree with. Ensuring monarchies don't come back and that America doesn't lose democracy is definitely something both sides agree with. The only thing I am having a hard time understanding is why are liberals protesting against kings when that is not something this country faces threat from. America has a lot of actual problems in reality that we should spend our time on fixing those instead of letting the world know we don't like monarchies. There is no threat to America of any kind of king or dictator taking over so what's the point? I mean, there are the ignorant partisan people on both sides who, every time a party takes the POTUS seat, whine and cry because their party didn't win and they have to demonize the other party regardless of logic or common sense. But wasting time catering to those people just means you are becoming one of them.

Please spend your time peacefully protesting problems that need to be fixed, not problems that have no basis in reality and are solely just partisan hate based.
