Trump is now attacking Milwaukee as a horrible place to hold the Republican National Convention. I suspect part of this stems from the fact that several major businesses associated with Wisconsin have refused to sponsor the convention, choosing not to donate money to the RNC to help cover their costs. The company at the top of that list is Kohl's, who's headquartered in Wisconsin, but who has refused to even consider getting involved in the convention. And now there's people demanding that Republicans boycott Kohl's over their refusal to be a sponsor at this years convention.

When it comes to finding a large city to host the RNC convention, according to what Republicans have said about these same cities, it might be getting harder and harder to find one where the locals would be supportive. And as for what some might assume to be somewhere in a friendly state, take a look at Texas. From what Texas Republicans have said over the last couple of elections, I doubt that Houston will be on their list anytime soon. If their vilification of large urban areas continue, you may see future RNC conventions being held in places like Boise or Anchorage.

I don't know how much money the RNC has already spent on this shindig but if Trump is going to get booed or bombarded with negative TV coverage, they might want to kick the 757 out of its hanger at Palm Beach International and hold their convention there, for free.

It still wouldn't be free. Trump would charge them for moving the plane and rent for the use of the hanger, at about seven or eight times the going rate for other venues.
