It only says federal courts cannot "block executive actions throughout the country through nationwide injunctions".

They did not rule on the constitutionality of birth right citizenship.

what this decision results in is different definitions of what a US citizen is. In some jurisdictions a state may decide a child of an undocumented immigrant is a citizen. In another jurisdiction a state may say a child of an undocumented immigrant is NOT a citizen

How does that play out?

Is that child subject to deportation if they cross a state line?

What about entitlements that person is eligible for?

What about voting rights? If that child moves to a -------- state, can they vote in presidential elections but not local elections?

What about marriages that child (upon reaching an age of consent) enters into?

Can that child seek federal elected office?

The damage this ruling can do to our country is incredible.

In some respects, I do somewhat agree with the decision regarding birthright citizenship.

Let me say up front, my view is that ... if you are born in the US, you are a citizen. The Constitution seems to be quite clear and concise on this matter. To the point, I have to ask why is it in question.

But the decision by SCOTUS did not seem to be about that aspect, but the ability of a regional Federal Court to make a decision that applies to the whole Country.

SCOTUS appears to want to reserve that ability for themselves and themselves only.

(once again this evening I will say, I am not a lawyer ....)

S&P500 is a bit (one or two %) above where it was when Pres Trump took office back in January (around 6050 back then, 6173 now), but has been increasing recently as Pres Trump seems to be retreating from his tariff goals.

So, as your current alias seems to be celebrating the recent increase of the stock markets due to Pres Trump's retreats, maybe take a step back and look at why the stock markets are celebrating. A failed res Trm tariff policy?
