President Trump will reportedly have another big boy military parade later this year.

Army parade 'disappointed' Trump, so Navy will do one too. The U.S. Navy is reportedly throwing Trump an even bigger military parade this fall, as he wasn't satisfied by the first one.

i almost forgot about the sad display where Trump and those around him either stared at the phones or took a nap as the band trolled Trump by playing a song that is about, as the creator of it said, "extreme distrust for executive authority" and which includes lyrics referencing draft dodgers and tax cheats, both of which describes Trump.

Not sure what sort of 'parade' could be held to recognize the Navy's 250th birthday. Perhaps a 'parade' of ships up Chesapeake Bay, or along the shore of Long Island, or maybe passing in review in front of Mar-a-Lago.

Were you ever in the service, or more specifically, the Army? Have you ever heard of 'route step'? It's a manner of marching which while the organization of the ranks are maintained, the members are not expected to march in cadence. This is the way you march if you're having to go a long distance, as was the case during the parade in June. I suspect that Trump was expecting something along the lines of what you'd see in Red Square or in North Korea, and perhaps even from some old newsreels of Germany troops marching into Paris during WWII.

And for the record; I was in the Army and I did my share of marching, so I know of what I speak.

We also ironed our uniforms.
Maybe 1600 yards was a 'long distance' in your muumuu and high heels, dilator chafing and buttplug leaking...

How many of us can actually go there and be a part of it and enjoy it (or not) live? Very few.

But we do like our hometown parades fireworks and barbecues.

The whole parade route would only be like four ditties.
Of course in parade you would have to sing to yourself silently.
You would be marching silently most of the time, which was neat too. Maybe just a grunt for "left" every now and then.
Then when you 'pass and review' your command is

... I forget when to go eyes ahead again...

I know that when a long grunt march you wouldn't keep in step, but then you might be on uneven ground and would be carrying stuff.
Just going 1600 yards, though, on level pavement? and a special parade company? No way.

I like the one with the drone, bobbing along in a pimpwalk. Gah.
Any respect our military gets is due to our technology, nowadays.
