"Marjorie Taylor Greene, now just days away from stepping down as a congresswoman for Georgia, has said in her latest mea culpa interview that she "was just so naive" for believing that Donald Trump was a man of the people.

Greene said the Epstein files represented "everything wrong with Washington" and said it was a story of "rich, powerful elites doing horrible things and getting away with it. And the women are the victims".

After meeting with victims, she claimed, Trump called her and yelled "my friends will get hurt" if the files were released.

In the interview, Greene said that she had been wrong to accuse Democrats of treason. She acknowledged that she is now a political outcast from both sides of the political divide."

This vid goes over the original NYT article @6 mins in:

www.youtube.com

She says that she asked Trump to invite Epstein victims to the WH, but he told her that, "they had done nothing to deserve the honor."

I think MTG is growing as a person.

I Think her resigning from Congress is a mistake on her part.

She would be an asset if she turns on Trump Completely and is still Reelected.

Stranger things have happened.

The example of that alone would hasten Trump's political Demise....Bigly.

Some Trumpers appear to be on the verge of figuring out that Trump45 and Trump47 aren't just Spinoff TV series from The Apprentice... and that the lead actor might really be having an impact on their lives and their country.

Not in a good way; he's a reflection of their prejudices, racism, bigotry, misogyny, and a number of other irrational fears.

In my view...

Pres Trump (and his puppet masters, a.k.a. the Project 2025 folk, et al) had the four years of the Biden administration to take a step back, analyze what went wrong in Trump 1.0 and arrive at a better plan for Trump 2.0.

First step, eliminate the guard rails, and only appoint officials more loyal to Pres Trump than loyal to the Constitution.

"I bet you don't know who shot and killed President Garfield."

Charles Guiteau, which is a name I know from "The Ballad of Charles Guiteau." Which is an old Americana tune. I have it on a compilation from some Ohio folklore society.

Not "The Ballad of Guiteau" from the recent musical.

It's very on-message for Americans to not know the names of the people who killed our Presidents:

"Guns don't kill people, people kill people, and I believe that so fervently I can't make half the people who used guns to kill the President!"

Who shot McKinley?

The only American Assassination to achieve it's political objectives.

Leon Czolgogz, or something close to it.

Slavic Dude. Hated the Rich. Was an Anarchist who wanted McKinley dead because he was only running the country to benefit the Very Rich.

Kinda Familar?

He killed McKinley and Theodore Roosevelt became President and put the Oligarchs in a Box, and ruled as a Genuine Populist.

National Monuments Created, the Trusts Broken Up.

A new hope for general Prosperity that McKinley was stifling with his Love of Monopoly and Oligarchs.

Successful Violence, but Czolgogz never saw it.

He was Executed rather quickly after McKinley died.

No years on death row for him.
