Yes, Trump Will Do This

Over this weekend, Donald Trump once again posted something related to him running for a third term. In this case, he was reposting an image from one of his hardcore supporters.

But he has done this dozens and dozens of times, perhaps over a hundred times since beginning his second term. He is telling us exactly what his intentions are.

And yet many many people, especially on the left, do not believe him. They simply say, "Well, that's not possible according to the US Constitution. Therefore, he's not going to try." Or even if he does try, it's not going to work.

3 min vid, but full text:

"That is not the way Donald Trump operates. The US Constitution is not going to stop him. And if you think it will, ask yourself this question.

10 years ago, could you have imagined a president tearing down part of the White House in order to build himself a ballroom that he wanted? A president threatening to take Greenland by force unless they agreed to sell it to us.

A president acting like our allies are our enemies and our enemies are our allies. A president adding his own name onto places like the Kennedy Center. A president having tanks roll down the streets of Washington DC.

A president calling the free press the enemy of the people because he didn't like their coverage of him. A president calling into doubt a presidential election because he didn't win.

A president who demanded loyalty oaths not to the US Constitution but to him personally. A president who would brazingly enrich his own family by selling access to the Oval Office. A president who treats Canada as if it was an adversary on the other side of the world.

A president who would accept a luxury airliner as a gift from another country.

And I could go on and on with examples. But Donald Trump has already done many things that we never ever would have guessed any president would do, and he has already shown that he has no regard for the Constitution.

So when we see him post all this stuff about a third term, he is not just trolling. He is deadly serious and so are many hardcore Trump politicians. He's going to run for a third term and one way or another they're going to make sure he wins."

30 year term ... in prison, that is.

It should be the Vikings. They were on North American soil hundreds of years before Columbus stumbled on the Caribbean.

Vikings landed in North America, specifically at L'Anse aux Meadows in Newfoundland, Canada, exactly in 1021 AD. Led by Leif Erikson, they established a short-lived settlement nearly 500 years before Christopher Columbus. This precise date was determined by analyzing tree rings on wooden artifacts, which showed they were cut in 1021.

Good point, AU.

The Vikings didn't stay long as they had no weapons superiority to the locals.

The melee battles caused too many casualties for re-supply ships to replace them all the way from Scandinavia.

The Spaniards came later with firearms, horses, and disease further to the south.

I don't think the Vikings accidentally introduced any contagion.

A statue of a family of dead First Americans spread out at the feet of a grinning Pilgrim goober with an axe in one hand and a still-smoking .50-caliber wheellock in the other might be more appropriate.

I was pointing out the Vikings discovered America, not Columbus, who's given credit for something he didn't actually do.

How do you discover some place where someone is living?
