President Donald Trump on Friday demanded that the Federal Reserve slash interest rates or else he will cut off trade with countries with which the U.S. maintains trade deficits.

"Trump threatened on Friday to halt a broad swath of U.S. trade unless the Federal Reserve slashed interest rates, issuing a series of sweeping ultimatums that could prove costly to the economy." This is why the Fed needs independence, as do other agencies that the Supreme Court stripped it from.

LOL. The comedy show continues. Why doesn't he just rename the "Trump Reserve" and make himself chairman?

Clearly Trump is applying for the title of Worst President in the History of this Constitutional Republic and quite able and willing to bankrupt America to make a point. Some other nations have a deficit with us, and if the entire world does what he suggests...chaos.

The GOP will remain silent about this.

Holy Mike will utter his lame "I have not seen what you are talking about" excuse.

Just remember, Pedo Don ordered Holy Mike to shut down the House to keep Massie from reading the names of the child rapists.

Who does this? A------------ does it.

The bottom must be falling out of all Trump's grand schemes for winning the midterms.

I can't even imagine what he has planned for a "national emergency."

Kevin Warsh is screwed. Trump, who projects his sins and crimes onto others, is projecting the problems with the US economy onto the shoulders of the new Fed Chair. The result of the comments made should NOT be a test of policy on the part f the Federal Reserve, yet Warsh now faces that test. Were he to act on Trump's behalf his time at the Fed from here forward would be seen as that of a political toady, unreliable on the world stage. If Warsh ignores Trump (which he should) the calls for his head from 1600 Pennsylvania will commence shortly thereafter, with blame for the state of the economy coming daily.

Warch wanted this job, and he is about to start regretting that he got it...

On second thought, Yes I can. Remember the Reichtag?

With that Nazi Stephen Miller all up in Trump's ear, now I wonder if the Capital Building and the White House are covered by fire insurance.
