#11 Alex, he's looking for the "gotcha" stuff so that his minions/peons can run with it.

And inevitably, there are some "irregularities" there, somewhere. Irregularities such as "wrong address," "maiden name," "deceased." You know, the inevitable that happens when one is dealing with the records of almost 1,000,000 registered voters.

Never mind that such "irregularities" would be found in every single voting district across the USA, large or small.

Nope, even one single "irregularity" would be enough to let loose the self-righteousness of Trump's minions/peons, and the resulting "hahahha's" from all the usual suspects, especially this one.

Count on it.

It's only matter of time before the right agrees with me that Trump's a left-wing mole who set out to destroy everything Republicans claimed to believe in.

*** US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent Publicly Supports Alberta Separatism ***

"Good-for-nothing mega-oligarch US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has weighed in on a separatist movement in Alberta, saying the western Canadian province is a "natural partner for the US".

"Alberta has a wealth of natural resources, but they won't let them build a pipeline to the Pacific," Bessent told an American right-wing commentator in an interview on Thursday.

"I think we should let them come down into the US, and Alberta is a natural partner for the US. They have great resources. The Albertans are very independent people."

Nota Bene: After WWII, the people of New Foundland wanted an "economic union" with the US. New Foundland had not yet joined Canada's confederation and had its own currency. The "Newfies" felt closer to the Americans who were stationed there during the war and who built up the province with runways, ports etc. A referendum was held in 1948 and the "Newfies" narrowly chose Ottawa over Wash DC. But this was quite a concern for Ottawa and London in 1948 and they strongly and secretly worked together to ensure Newfies voted to join Canada.

#118 I figured out why you chose a name to be shortened to STD. You have an ABI caused during your birth because your mother had a venereal disease. Calling yourself STD makes you feel close to her, doesn't it?

They might get a cursory understanding of the facts.

But they will never, ever be able to grasp the spirit

They will never be able to accept that their Republican grandparents and idols didn't always hate immigrants.

Excerpted from Ronald Reagan's farewell address:

I've been thinking a bit at that window. I've been reflecting on what the past 8 years have meant and mean. And the image that comes to mind like a refrain is a nautical one -- a small story about a big ship, and a refugee, and a sailor. It was back in the early eighties, at the height of the boat people. And the sailor was hard at work on the carrier Midway, which was patrolling the South China Sea. The sailor, like most American servicemen, was young, smart, and fiercely observant. The crew spied on the horizon a leaky little boat. And crammed inside were refugees from Indochina hoping to get to America. The Midway sent a small launch to bring them to the ship and safety. As the refugees made their way through the choppy seas, one spied the sailor on deck, and stood up, and called out to him. He yelled, ``Hello, American sailor. Hello, freedom man.''

A small moment with a big meaning, a moment the sailor, who wrote it in a letter, couldn't get out of his mind. And, when I saw it, neither could I. Because that's what it was to be an American in the 1980's. We stood, again, for freedom. I know we always have, but in the past few years the world again -- and in a way, we ourselves -- rediscovered it.
